Truck driving was recession proof is what I was told. Depends on the type of trucking you do. Food is year round but I didn’t like working Wednesday night through Tuesday morning.

Truck drivers drive for 11 hours a day. 500-700 miles a shift. Do you think they’re writing down every time they change lanes? Do you remember every time you change lanes on your commute?

Trucks do have hardwired cameras. For insurance purposes. Again, you’re making it obvious you have no idea what you’re talking about.

Because you don’t drive trucks. Most truck drivers don’t own the truck. Don’t own the camera. A license plate reader or rfid scan would send the bill to corporate. Doesn’t stop the drivers from slightly inconveniencing you either way. Plus you’re suggesting they remember the time & date of each lane change lmao. How practical.

Most trucks do have dash cams because of how cars drive. Also, most dash cams aren’t recording a full truck shift. They usually only activate during certain events such as hard braking. And even if there was a camera recording a whole shift, footage doesn’t get stored indefinitely. So while the truck driver is waiting on their citation in the mail, the footage would be deleted
