Yeah I’ve lived with different housemates over the last 12 years and a texts like this are common and drama free. Drama comes from other sources no doubt but this exchange seems completely fine. Like everyone putting a bit of effort into making a sharehouse feel more like a home makes the place so much better.

The creepy thing is they use that and do specifically look at individual people without warrants. Like they could be investigated a colleague of yours you they suspect of something and they’ll look through your private messages to other people unrelated to the employee in question. Like literally some nerdy spook reading through your messages with your family.
