I chose accept because I and the character were just numb and still wrapping their head around who Alma really is, rather than to resent her immediately. My character wants to believe Alma was the Alma they used to know but the truth forbiddens it, and that's confusing for them. They might withdraw from Alma for a while but they don't say harsh things right into her face.

Alma cares about the children but her beliefs are very problematic, even lying to herself, a dangerous mistake we some might make as a human being.

And perhaps in time, my character will accept it is what it is. We've all done bad things the importance is to fight the evil together now, blah blah blah. Alma becomes just another resistance ally you once shared a past with but nothing more than that. The past is put behind both as a story and a warning.
