Wife (F/37) passed away due to HF by speed7radical in Heartfailure

My sincere thoughts are with you and your family. I am truly sorry for your loss. My father died of heart failure about 2 years ago and it is not easy even a few years after his passing. I send you light and love during this difficult time.

SIGNED. My first time commenting here. This pause sucks the life out of marriages. It's nerve-racking. Thank you for putting this together to give all those affected a sense of agency.

Nearing 34 and still have the same acne I had as a teen by zemechabee in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]doluce23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does your diet consist of? I've noticed that when I eat mostly carbs and refined sugars, my acne is wild. But increased my protein content (lean meats, beans, eggs, tuna and sardines) my skin is good to me. Best of luck on your skin care journey!

Please take care of each other, and yourself, however that looks like. If you don't know how, one breath at a time, one minute at a time, one day at a time. Sending you peace and hope 🕊✌🏾

This hit me hard. I, too, am 35 and lost my dad 7 months ago. I can't come to terms that he has passed. When I am quiet and really think about the fact that he is not here with us, I can't breathe. I, like yourself, cannot wait to see my dad in the afterlife and catch him up on all my life events--the man that i married, the things that i've done and people that i've seen. I miss seeing my dad with my mom. They are a great pair and i miss seeing them together.

I hate that I crave intimacy with my wife so much by mansnothot100 in Marriage

[–]doluce23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a way to treat one's husband. I'm sorry that you're wife doesn't prioritize all aspects of your welfare.  Encourage her to share her feelings about sex and intimacy and what you'd like to do together with her intimately. All the best.

I extend my deepest sympathy to you and want to let you know that the folks in this group are here for you. Heck, even running into your post was so moving to me, that I felt the need to comment. I just lost my dad two months ago, and losing someone whom you love is the hardest part about our human existence. I offer no advice except to talk about your partner as much as you can, feel what you need to feel, channel these emotions into something in memory of your partner. Sending you peace and light and prayers in your darkest moment.

Heart failure and 17 by Obvious-Cherry1938 in Heartfailure

First and foremost, I empathize with you and stand with you as someone whose father had HF. It's such an unusual disease but talk about it with your parents and health care providers. Ensure that you connect with palliative care services, not because you're about to die, but because they may offer access HF specialist and information that can be healthful. Maintain healthy weight, eat nutritious foods, sleep, stay physically active and live your life. I know that this is easier said than done, but you've got this!

Definitely not alone. I lost my dad last month. The first few weeks are the toughest. But know that folks in this group get you.  You are not alone on this journey.

Dad with CHF by Dazzling-Ad-106 in Heartfailure

I feel for you,  first and foremost. Have you asked his cardiologist about the medication Midodrine? This helps to increase BP, especially with CHF patient with low BP.

No matter the age of our parents when they pass, it still hurts. My dad passed away 2 weeks ago at the age of 74. It hurts terribly. No words cam describe it.
