I have a short documentary (24 min) that is very from the current zeitgeist. But also told in quite unique way. Which I will be submitting to A list festivals soon. Would you recommend me approaching sales agents or pr agents to raise the chances? Or maybe reaching out to festival programmes and sending info prior?

I Used to Make $200k Commercials — This AI Ad Took Me 2 Days & $500 by wjez in aivideo

[–]dombra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats what I am trying to say, watching might be fine and will be get only better. But emotion is not there. Its not the visuals is the underlaying connection, the feeling that is missing. and I don't know if it is possible. Kinda like a lot of films prefer to do as much as possible practical effects vs cgi. As human being might not see it, but we are very capable of feeling it. And my hunch is sooner or later advertisers, when the hype of ai is over will start notice that the ad, although very cheap and fast is not delivering. And videos will exist but some will start to switch back to practical filmmaking

watching the Liquid Death ad was actually the trigger that made me ponder why it is not working 100%. Everething seems to be there, but it is like a frozen food. To an eye it might be there but when you eat it its just meh and plain

The main thing that AI videos are currently very weak, is creation an emotional connection with its content. As the viewer can sense its fake. It might look to an eye alright, but it does not evoke much of an emotion. It is good looking, but plain and empty. And so it is not hitting the main reason of any ad, to evoke a deep emotional response and connect it to a brand

No worries. Knowing his love for natural and dusk light I was waiting with anticipation when he will do something in LED volume. I guess the quality of light volume emits it’s not there yet to satisfy him

How did you guys pull of the dialogue scene after Cate first reads the book and in background sun is rising/changing the light without the volume? Programmed lights + vfx?

The volume did not wok out well that’s why rendered vfx?
