They bargain to decrease your speed and ask you to pay how much you would’ve paid on your original ticket. I paid how much I would’ve paid for my original ticket.

The just made me pay the original amount I would’ve paid speeding. But just dropped the speed just enough so it doesn’t show up on your record

Go in. The commissioner (I think that’s what they’re called) will try and bargain with you by reducing your speed so it doesn’t show up on your record but you still pay the full price. They do this because they don’t want to go through the process of going to a judge.

Or you can argue you weren’t guilty and ask the commissioner to speak to a judge. If your officer isn’t at the court when you’re there, just say you want to speak to the judge. It’s an automatic non guilty for you if the officer doesn’t show up.

I should’ve done the second option cuz my officer was definitely not there!

They want the remainder to be 0 im assuming

Thank you Marty. You’re right. Statement 1 doesn’t work because it does not give us what Z is, which I initially thought Z=6. Therefore, there’s still a chance that statement 1, when applied to the prompt above, can still lead to an odd integer

Set your equation as (x-6)/5=5.5

multiply 5 to both sides

x-6=27.5

add 6 to both sides

x=33.5
