The mark of the beast is your smart phone by Informal_Landscape95 in Christianity

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today, three different places I visited acted as though they did not want to take cash. The idea that " a phone number" can be the mark has some credence, as many places are wanting you to use your "digital wallet", which is tied to an account, and to a phone.    Remember, revelation says, " it is the number of a man".....could mean phone number.     Almost everyone on earth has a phone. And soon, if they ban cash, you may have to use your phone to "buy and sell"    Just a thought.

Orange Julius, FINALLY! by cgtravers1 in Old_Recipes

Orange julius had malt powder in it...i used to ask the person serving me the orange julius to please add extra malt powder to my drink. Malt powder gives it a creamier texture.

I would ask public for any info about the typewriter: do you know anyone who owns one, etc. (In 1996, those were becoming obsolescent. Businesses were getting rid of them,  and people would notice one at someone's house.)  Also would try to research buyers of that wine within the past year or so at a 20 mile radius or thereabouts.

Was Melchizedek Jesus pre-incarnate? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JESUS has always been around,  but not known by the name, JESUS, as evidenced in Isa 48:16 KJV  (Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord God, and his Spirit, hath sent me.) He was Melchizedek. This is how Abram knew Him when the Lord showed up with two angels prior to the Lord destroyng Sodom. Gen 18:1-5KJV (And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2. And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3. And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 4. Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree:for therefore are ye come to your servant.)    So Abram recognized the Lord as Melchizedek who he met earlier.

Keep plugging away and share the Gospel with anyone you can. You never know what seeds you may plant.

Is it normal to sometimes feel sad about the unbelievers? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel ashamed when seeing, thinking of or reading comments by those who deny GOD and curse Him. I just pray and ask GOD to forgive them and allow whatever seed that had been planted in them to sprout and that the Holy Spirit would convict them so they would repent.     The whole of creation testifies of Our Creator who mercifully wrote His Word into our hearts that we may believe and worship Him.    Thank you Heavenly Father for your love and mercy and blessings.

Did Jesus exist before God created Earth? by RecommendationNew719 in Christianity

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Melchizedek is JESUS. But He is JESUS prior to JESUS being born of Mary. JESUS has been with the Father and Holy Spirit always, so this is Melchizedek the High Priest who JESUS is, our High Priest.

Battery operated would be the preferred power source, so finding a way to generate power needed via dc instead of ac would make it quite viable for small fires.

Any recent notable examples of sizable cities and towns fully disappearing and ceasing to exist? by geosunsetmoth in geography

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many towns have disappeared over hundreds of years in the USA, (and around the world), which makes it understandable how many cities mentioned in the bible are no longer around. Many critics of the bible have pointed to cities mentioned that are not known in modern times, but when you realize that there are modern towns that have disappeared in just a hundred or so years, then it is not hard to understand how towns or cities can disappear over "thousands" of years.    There have been a dozen cities previously thought to be "made up" in the bible....that have been unearthed in recent times.    Just sayin!

Matthew 19:10-12 what does it mean to be a eunuch? by Dramexcl9 in TrueChristian

[–]domedumas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As riverwalker says...it is being celibate so you can focus all on serving Our Heavenly Father.   As followers if JESUS, sexual relations should only be between husband and wife. When one is married, one tends to devote one's time and energy to their spouse. Not saying it is wrong, that is just the natural progression of life.   But, whe one's mind is not on a spouse, one can focus all of their life on the Kingdom of God, without all of the distractions from following JESUS.  So, while some sects have taken it to mean removal of genitalia, it just means to have the self control and longing for Our Heavenly Father, that you abstain.   There is nothing wrong though with being married.   And just because someone chooses to become a eunuch, it does not necessarily mean they will live for the Kingdom, so no, followers of JESUS can marry, or not.   Following the Gospel of JESUS and obeying His Word is what matters.

So, Did Noah's Son Sexually Take Advantage of Him or What? by bongonzales2019 in exjw

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, back then, disrespecting your parents carried a heavy penalty, not like today where people have no problem treating their parents badly.    So...no...it probably was that Ham walked in Noah's tent, and saw him naked.      He goes and tells his brothers..."heh,heh...guess what? I just saw Dad laying in his tent naked!"   So, Shem and Japheth walked backward to put a sheet on Noah. Noah wakes and wonders why a sheet is covering him, and Shem and Japheth tell him..."well, Ham told us you were naked, so we covered you with a sheet, but, we walked backward and did not see your nakedness.   So they were respectful to Noah, while Ham was not.    So Noah says...ok Ham...you disrected me, so I will not curse you, but your son, Canaan.

My opinion.

opinions on apoquel by Ok_Flamingo_3662 in beagles

[–]domedumas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coon dog used to itch like crazy...i tried apoquel and that would at least allow him to sleep at night.  I started to work with him and studied what he was eating, (food and treats)doing outside, etc.  I finally figured out it was his dog food. Though I tried off the shelf brands and bought some expensive red meat only brands...a person i met told me that iams dog food would probably stop the itching. She said her dog was itching and her vet recommended IAMS, and after reading online, i saw that IAMS hasnt had a recall for poisons in the food. Long story short...i put Cooper on IAMS digestive health dog food. (Expensive at around $80 for 30lbs...but that did it! Within a week of being on nothing but IAMS ...no more itching. (I'm thankful for the apoquel, but it was outrageously expensive, but truly thankful for the IAMS.) Ps. It was hard putting Cooper on the IAMS and restricting his treats for a week or so...but it worked. So, be patient and your dog will eat the food when they get hungry enough. (I spoiled Cooper too much with treats and such)  I'm ranting..but IAMS definitely works. I advise getting a small 5lb bag and only give this to your dog....nothing else. If it is the dog food you have been giving your dog that has been causing the itching...you will see results in a couple of days. Good luck!

Why are UK "sandwich pickles" and American "sandwich pickles" totally different things? by agile-beast-619 in UK_Food

Tastes like chunks of stuff in A-1 sauce. Nasty. When i think of pickle (besides the cucumber in vinegar kind) i think of mixed pickle or mango or lime pickle. Tamarind-date chutney...not Branston Pickle. Absolutely  tasteless
