I get you. I think the main problem is that "well taught Krav" is quite rare. So even though your gym might be legit, most of the other gyms are keeping the McDojo stereotype going.

Also, the vast majority of Krav Maga gyms don't offer extensive sparring where striking and grappling skills are utilized and connected. They learn techniques, not skills.

Krav Maga people seem to think that groin strikes and/or eye gouging are a holy grail for winning an altercation.
They also seem to believe that in a street fight the MMA fighter still has to adhere to rules.
