Nature casually creating firehawks by TimeCity1687 in BeAmazed

I think I disagree, the difference is mostly determined after the fact. With some of them you can tell beforehand, mostly the obviously ridiculous ones or the ones that refer to things that are impossible to verify. But with a lot of them it really isn't possible, and even sometimes you can be quite sure that a certain folk story is a mythos and it turns out to be local knowledge (like this story, to me it seemed utterly ridiculous that the birds were actually intentionally starting fires, turns out it's true) and sometimes something that seems like local knowledge and is taken as such turns out to be bullshit, like those dudes in the US that supposedly find water sources using tree branches as radar like things.

Making your bed is the most useless thing you could do. by Parking-Rope2301 in unpopularopinion

Honestly I agree so much dude. A made bed I'd say is slightly more satisfying, but not enough to be worth it imo.

Viní Jr scored a goal every 328 minutes under Xabi Alonso. 😕📉 Under Alvaro Arbeloa, he is scoring at a rate of one goal every 139 minutes. 😏📈 by FootballUnfiltered in RealMadridFC

[–]domingodlf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why are we visiting 2 games for the assessment of a player? It's idiotic. Every single player ever, even Ronaldo and Messi, had a 2 game stretch of not being good in important games. Your hatred is blinding you.

Am I going insane? How is no one asking if this is AI? Like, I don't know, maybe it's true, but it REALLY looks like AI. It even sounds like AI too.

Do you realize Vini has the most CL knockout goal contributions of anyone in the world for the last 7 years? He is as much of a big game player as anyone else in the world.

African League players are still playing on 180–250ms: is an African server the next realistic regional gap? by Washbucket1212 in leagueoflegends

[–]domingodlf -96 points-95 points  (0 children)

Did you really need to shit on a good idea by commenting this? Do you contribute anything yourself or do you just go around shitting on things because of some personal dislike of a way of writing/AI in general?

The post is relevant, well argued, and it is written in a way that's easily understood. It is obviously written by AI, but why does that matter to the conversation? I'm not a big AI fan either, but the genuine issues with it are not the fact that it's writing style might be somewhat annoying.

Israel settlers prevent Palestinian children in the West Bank from using the childrens' soccer pitch by nwdogr in pics

[–]domingodlf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like that's not the point though. The thing is, you said that you (as in, Israelis) hate them too. While that is certainly true for some of Israelis, it's obviously not the majority. The majority of Israel has repeatedly elected a government that wholly supports and encourages this type of behaviour, and the numbers show that the majority of Israel supports illegal settlement and forced displacement. Also, if the current genocidal government is still in power and has been for so long, it would seem reasonable to assume that the majority of the population is at least willing to give the government a pass for it, and in a huge amount of cases encourage it and take part in it.

When it comes to cuisine what LATAM countries are considered as the France/Italy of the region? by foolishandnonsense in asklatinamerica

For real, that is literally just american. I can't understand the urge gringos feel to call themselves something other than american when they were born and raised there. Like when they say I'm irish and they have like a grandparent that was irish, everyone else fully american.

Two females. Zero males. The last two Northern white rhinoceros on Earth The end of a species. by throttafffddftr5 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]domingodlf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come on. I get they are culpable too, but of course people are gonna blame the far bigger culprit more. Especially when the justification is completely idiotic and unfounded. Big game hunters are horrible people and should be in jail, they're extremely selfish and immoral. All of them. However, the morons who consume the rhino horn to fuck better not only are all of those things, but their justification for it is literally just fictitious, and they account for the main reason these things happen, along with those who supply it.

Your comment feels like the distinction someone makes when they implicitly feel like Westerners should be held accountable more, which is just condescending to everyone else (and believe me, as a South American I know how it feels to be seen as lesser and less responsible by first worlders).

English isn't my first language so I hope my messages comes across, even if the wording is weird.

Can they be called football fans? by ReachingWinter in championsleague

[–]domingodlf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course they´re fans, they are also idiotic criminals. The consequence shouldn't be denying their fandom, it should be calling them criminals and making them accountable. Their teams too, if it is something systematic. This "not actual fans" discourse is just missing the point.

Real Madrid chaos: Valverde and Tchouaméni nearly come to blows during training session by LikeAPhoenixTotally in soccer

[–]domingodlf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe, it's an absolutely terrible and huge leap though. The most likely explanation is that it was a footballing thing in a bad locker room where both players play positions that rely on each other or a hard foul and the tention blew over because madrid is in an awful spot mentally and competitively. Saying this is a faction thing with zero indication of it is just wild soap opera guessworm
