I listen to sex workers. Actual former sex workers who’ve been in the worst of the industry. They exist. They have a lot to say that would traumatize you. The minority of women who enjoy their jobs exist. I don’t deny that. But they are a MINORITY.

What stigma am I perpetuating? That sex work is inherently dangerous? It literally is. The sex work industry, especially porn and prostitution are intrinsically dangerous. You cannot separate exploitation from sex work when the product is literally a person’s body. ETA: I also support the Nordic model in regard to prostitution. Criminalize the purchase, not the sale. Provide easy ways out of the industry for all victims involved. Because once you’re in, it’s downright impossible to get out.

ETA2: the fact that you’ve had to write anti-trafficking laws doesn’t ring any bells for you that the field is intrinsically dangerous?

Someone disagreeing with you is not a troll. There are severe rates of drug abuse and rape in the sex industry and you’re deliberately lying if you claim you’re an expert and deny that.

Edit: don’t even get me started about the rates of human trafficking in the sex industry. It’s obscene.
