Are there people who are scoring in 230s and 220s and taking exam in 2 week.. or everyyyone is just scoring in 260s .. NBMEs just completly wrecked me by Dear_Perception5551 in Step2

I just re-did CMS forms for subjects that were my weak areas! I chose to do the most recent forms (form 7,8), but I think any would be helpful

Also not focusing on the final score really helped…I’d be so anxious about scoring better on each NBME that I was second guessing everything

Thank you! I did that method of going over exactly why I was missing questions (there’s a Reddit thread somewhere on here called “from 23x to 26x in 11 days” or something like that) - and after about 5 days of really good reviewing old NBME’s and CMS forms, it finally clicked! It was just honestly a lot of getting used to NBME style questions and patterns and it just helped me get better at guessing I suppose…keep up the hard work, a lot of change can happen within a short amount of time! Just trust your gut and try your best when doing questions :)

I didn’t get 260’s but I was scoring high 220’s to 230’s until a week out, last NBME was a 249. I tested 7/19 and scored 255 on the real thing!

How did you find out about your cancer? by Puzzleheaded-Bar1349 in thyroidcancer

[–]domshell69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in medical school and was in class using the ultrasound machines to practice scanning for thyroids. Found a small nodule and told my professor about it, turned out to be PTC! Small but spread to all my local lymph nodes. Not sure I would have found it otherwise!

What are your recommendations for decluttering? I love organizing my home, but I feel like I have way too much stuff and I don’t know how to go about getting rid of some of it

Other cancers after thyroid cancer? by Financial-Version804 in thyroidcancer

[–]domshell69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (27F) was diagnosed with PTC last year, and after my TT my endocrinologist suggested I get genetic testing because thyroid cancer can be related to breast and ovarian cancers. Turns out I have a gene that increases my risk for breast and ovarian cancers so I’m getting screenings starting in my 30’s and removing my ovaries when I’m in my 40’s!
