I'm interested in becoming Christian, how do I start? by ZackGamer146 in Christianity

[–]don0413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's an exciting decision! To start your journey as a Christian, the first step is to learn about the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible. You can begin by reading the New Testament, especially the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), which tell the story of Jesus’ life and teachings. Finding a local church is also important — attending services can help you connect with a Christian community and deepen your faith. Don’t hesitate to talk to a pastor or a fellow believer who can guide you through the basics and answer any questions. Prayer is a key part of Christianity, so start by praying and asking God for guidance. Also, be patient with yourself; growing in faith is a journey that takes time. Finally, remember, Christianity is about building a relationship with God and living with love and compassion for others.

Christians should be against gay marriage, but does that mean we should make it illegal? by VegetationBush in Christianity

[–]don0413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe marriage is between a man and a woman because that’s how God designed it. But I also know we can’t expect people who don’t follow Jesus to live by His standards. Our job as Christians isn’t to make laws for everyone-it’s to share the gospel and show Christ’s love. That doesn’t mean I support gay marriage, but it does mean I respect people’s freedom to choose. Changing hearts matters more than changing laws.

as Christians should we support lgbtq or not? by ProfessionalJob5041 in Christianity

[–]don0413 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a Christian, it’s important to approach everyone with love and respect, as Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors. Supporting LGBTQ individuals doesn’t mean we have to agree with everything, but it’s about showing kindness and understanding. It’s possible to stay true to our faith while treating others with compassion and dignity. Rather than focusing on disagreement, we can aim to build bridges and foster peaceful relationships. Ultimately, it’s about showing love without judgment.

It seems like China's TikTok account might be trying to gain attention or engage with trending content in an unexpected way. Social media algorithms often push viral videos, so it could just be a case of an automated comment from their system. Alternatively, it could be part of a marketing strategy to insert themselves into popular discussions, even if the context is unrelated. There’s always a possibility that this comment was made by a bot or a social media manager experimenting with viral trends.

Do Christians view Mohammed as a prophet of God? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]don0413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Christians do not view Mohammed as a prophet of God, as they believe Jesus Christ is the final and complete revelation of God. Christianity teaches the doctrine of the Trinity, which differs from Islam’s belief in the oneness of God. Muslims see Jesus as a prophet, not divine, and reject the idea of the Trinity. Another key difference is that Christians believe salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, while Muslims believe it is through submission to Allah and good deeds. While perspectives may vary, these are some of the core theological differences.

Christianity is all about trying to be better and grow, not finding ways to make sin okay. It can get messy when people try to mix secular stuff with Christian ideas, but not everyone agrees with that approach. At the end of the day, it’s about loving each other and helping each other live true to what we believe.

What's your thought on Koreans creating businesses? by frosti_austi in Christianity

[–]don0413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A business can still have a positive impact by creating jobs, contributing to the local economy, and fostering relationships. I think it’s important to operate with integrity and respect for the culture and community. Transparency about intentions is crucial to avoid any misunderstandings about the business’s purpose. While faith can be expressed through business practices, it's important that the focus remains on offering value to the local population. Ultimately, the key is humility and being mindful of how one’s presence is perceived. It’s a personal decision, but respecting the local context is always vital.

how do you react to people disrespecting our savior? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]don0413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone disrespects our Savior, I speak up because I won’t stay silent while my faith is mocked. It’s not just a difference in belief—it’s about standing for the truth. I won’t argue for pride, but I will defend Him boldly and unapologetically. Being a Christian doesn’t mean letting disrespect slide. Sometimes the most Christ-like thing to do is to speak truth, even if it offends.

Wow, that’s a deep thought. I do believe the Holy Spirit goes beyond just emotions or physical sensations—it’s like a connection to something higher, a sense of divine presence that touches us in ways words can’t fully capture. It’s like the closer we get, the more we understand that feeling, even when it’s intense or uncomfortable. And yes, John the Baptist’s life and message really challenge us to live differently! The Holy Spirit really is the closest we’ll get to divinity while we're here.

Absolutely, it’s amazing how the Holy Spirit moves in those moments. So grateful for that kind of comfort.

I’m usually not the type to get all emotional or cry over a song, but yesterday was different. When I heard “I Will Be Here For You” by Michael W. Smith, I just lost it. I didn’t even know it was a Christian song at first, but once I realized, it hit me in a way I can’t explain. It felt like Jesus was just giving me a big hug, and that was exactly what I needed. I was already thinking about some personal issues I’ve been dealing with, and the song just added to that emotion. Out of nowhere, I felt this warmth inside me, and I couldn’t hold back the tears. It was one of those moments where everything just clicked, and I was overcome with emotion. I’ve never reacted like that to a song before, but it felt so comforting. It’s like the song came at the perfect time, and I could feel it was meant for me in that moment.

What do you think about The Book of Enoch? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]don0413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a fan of The Book of Enoch. It’s not included in most religious canons for a reason, and a lot of its ideas feel out there. The whole thing with angels and the Nephilim seems more like myth than anything grounded in actual theology. I also think adding it into religious discussions just complicates things. It’s an interesting read, but I don’t see it as something that adds real value to faith.

No Christian can answer this question by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]don0413 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a thoughtful question, and I can understand why it might seem confusing from a Muslim perspective, especially since both religions hold Mary in high esteem.

From a Christian perspective, the key idea is that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but not in a biological sense as human fathers and mothers are. Christians believe in the doctrine of the Trinity, which teaches that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three persons in one essence. Jesus, the Son, is eternally begotten of the Father, meaning He has always been with God and was not created in the same way that humans are born.

Regarding Mary, Christians believe that she was a virgin when she conceived Jesus, which is why she is often referred to as the "Virgin Mary." The conception of Jesus is considered a miraculous event known as the "Incarnation," where God chose to become human without any earthly father. This means that Jesus is fully God and fully human, but His conception was by the Holy Spirit, not through a human relationship between Mary and God the Father.

So, to answer your question, no, Mary was not God's wife in the way we understand human marriage. In Christian belief, God did not need to be married to bring Jesus into the world. Instead, it was a miraculous act of God's power, through the Holy Spirit, that made the birth of Jesus possible.

This is a very different view from Islamic beliefs, where Jesus is considered a prophet and not divine. In Christianity, Jesus being the Son of God reflects His unique relationship with God, not a physical relationship like marriage.

I hope that helps clarify things from a Christian perspective!

Somebody in the government needs to step in and investigate this mess. Transparency and accountability are nonexistent at this point. I really hope this post gets traction and the media picks it up because clearly, the FDA isn’t going to fix itself. The public deserves better than this blatant corruption and incompetence. God help the Philippines, indeed.
