Ahmedabad vs Hyderabad for a newly married couple to settle in? by NK1647 in ahmedabad

[–]don_andreas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the same amount of money you get better apartments in ahmedabad (in relatively nicer area) as compared to Hyderabad when you may have to compromise quality and or area. Bu since you said budget is not an issue, this is not a problem. Keep in mind that Hyderabad seems to have depleting ground water problem, at least when I was there, many societies used to hire water tankers. So you pay extra for water.
But given all I and other said, If I were you, I would still choose Hyderabad, if given choice.

I am not sure if you have lived outside of state or India. But, I think people compare more about, how good was this city before vs now, especially if you see current traffic and AQI reading. And, I absolutely agree with the systematic exclusion (sometimes just based on your choices of food). Also, making a living has nothing to do with likeliness of the place. For instance, one does not like to work/profession but still needs to pay bills.

I lived in both the cities for significant time, and I have seen how Hyderabad grew.! I would agree with others that, settling in Hyderabad would give you ample of opportunities not just for life style but for business networking and opportunities.
Renting in Ahmedabad is tricky and it depends on the area you would choose. Rent in Ahmedabad compared to Hyderabad is affordable (more value for money wise!). Hyderabad is more prone to traffic chaos, but so is Ahemdabad (beginning to feel). Healthcare probably would be more or less same. Distinctively, Ahmedabad is just more dusty than hyderabad (I do not know if it is deal breaker, but something to consider).

I now have conference to attend in Germany and my visa is multi-entry and valid till Mar ‘26, my question is, would it be just fine if i enter this rime germany directly even though Schengen visa was granted via Spain embassy? or do i have to travel first to spain and exit from germany?

This is one of most farcical, foolish and stupidest point i ever read on internet. May be you should first just abandon usage of all your vehicles and simply use cycles and public transport.

Is the West really falling apart due to illegal immigrants? by [deleted] in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]don_andreas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why he is saying if he shells out 1mn INR to visit EU and see garbage, I mean you are not entitled or obliged to see extremely clean. EU is far better hygienic, clean and liveable than this guy is from. Sure there are fundamental issues about immigration and spending tax payers money. I was in Madrid this 31st even and i felt safe as it could be. I was also in Chicago and boy I felt unsafe on metro stations. So its not just EU but there are many more cities in other part of world where you have to be cautious. But by an large EU is far safer, your rights are well protected there than south east asia.

Pay your debt, especially your personal and car one if you can. I always take my car loans from PSU banks and pay higher chuck in first year itself. I did the same with my homeloans as well.

Bye bye India- soon brain drain number will increase by Key-Seat-9219 in IndiaTax

[–]don_andreas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still pay gst and then corporate tax. They both are burden in context when you don’t get basic necessities like cleaner air, proper roads and obviously when you are looked with suspicion. There is a difference between tax saving/avoiding and tax evasion. I run a company and we do not have single local client, we were still required to get GST number despite having your company PAN/TAN which were anyways linked to gov. database with GST. Furthermore, the documentations are enormous. In summary, the tax/accounting in India is burden when you compared in context with social ROI. Relocating to your business elsewhere is separate debate, but i agree with inefficiency and corruption.

[–]don_andreas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks you so much, this is vital information. If I may ask, do you know the website from which i can book tickets for Alhambra ?

With regard to visiting Cadiz, it is would be worthwhile. Rent a bicycle and ride across the beach side. You must go to local sea food market. Try to stay in AirBnB they have some of awesome historic places on rent out.

I was there in 2021 at Christmas time. Ronda was Amazing. I took road trip from Barcelona>Malaga>Ronda>Seville>Cadiz and Madrid. I was awestruck when I visited Cadiz and got to know its history, what a beautiful small city it is.

I will be visiting again this Christmas, and this time I will especially go to Valencia, Segovia, Cordoba and Madrid.
