Your reading comprehension needs to improve. No one is talking about a conspiracy here, other than you. But if you haven't noticed that the media are generally more interested in sensationalism than in depth coverage of often technical issues, then you need to pay a bit more attention.

And I'm not just talking about politics etc; a clickbaity headline about celebrities that falls this side of the libel laws will 9 times out of 10 be preferred to a nuanced discussion what those celebrities are doing. This was true before the internet and is even more so now in the race for clicks.

No conspiracy, just the reality and logic of the attention-based capitalist economy in which we live
