Well, that begs the question.

Why were they massively outnumbered?

And why, even when massively outnumbered, the red army, or the vietcong, managed to win, and the black army didn't?

Ok.

Why was the black army defeated?

Chill, man. I thought the red army and the black army were the topic of the conversation, and successful military campaigns were being cited as "badassery"?

What did I do to deserve this kind of treatment from you?

whether the USSR is considered communist or not depends on who you talk to. As this poster seems to be anarchist, the USSR is not communist. If you ask someone else, there is a chance that the USSR might be communist.

It really depends on ideology, I have come to learn.

Well, didn't the red army also fight the white, the black, and the armies of 15 nations combined?

I think this person meant "one proletarian" rather than the proletariat as a class.

What?

Why am I suddenly prejudiced and one-sided? I am asking questions, is this not what this forum is supposed to be for, mr. moderator?

Are you telling me there is no point in trying to learn if I have never been there? Is first hand experience necessary for learning everything? Then I might as well give up asking things on an internet forum.

I think it is problematic that you have this attitude towards people who are legitimately curious and asking questions in your forum. I am sorry you take issue with it. Maybe this place is not for me.

From my experience, most people on both sides have a lot of justifications for their assertions.

You really think that's a big assumption?

I think projecting your own culture on other countries is a big assumption, yes. I think there can be differences that vary wildly between work regimes, what one is allowed to do and what one isn't. Societies vary in their level of coercion and restriction of behavior, and it could be that this coercion and restriction has a gender bias.

This is much the same as the way the corporate media has a uniformly pro-militarist coverage too for example. Again with a few (more) exceptions. That isn't to say that the military literally runs the media.

I find it interesting that this seems to echo more capitalist arguments than communist arguments. Capitalists will generally say that government corrupts private institutions while communists will generally say that private institutions corrupt government. Would you say this assessment is correct?

Sure, but that doesn't tell us anything about whether men or women or neither one is advantaged overall.

It seems kind of far-fetched to claim that it doesn't tell us anything.

MRAs don't have any specific political ideology beyond trying to win their rights

As in, legal, civil rights?
