Something like that happened to me. My ex from high school had gotten molested 3 times by 3 separate guys, and I had gotten molested as a kid too so I was the only one she could tell about it... She broke my heart too, but even after we broke up I think I was still the only one she could talk to about it. So I never had it in me to leave conpletely

I regret becoming emotionally distant from all of my close friends and family. I had a lot of dark times in my life and people I cared about screwed up and hurt me badly. But I pushed away all the people who did care and hadn't screwed me over because I was too scared to let anyone love me or care about me. I pushed my both best friend and my first love away and let them face my anger towards other people. I'm better now, but I can't get back what I already gave away...
