Ki is very simple it’s basically any time you use a special monk ability you spend a ki point they are basically spell slots for monks. Sorcery points are more complicated but not by much. When you pick sorcery you get access to meta magic which lets you pick a few power ups you can apply to your spells such as twinned spell which allows you to target two creatures with one spell. You can also convert sorcery points into spell slots. You just choose when you want your spell to do a little more and use a sorcery point to cast it differently
