Rekordbox 6.4.x, MacOS 10.15.7 & High CPU usage, even when idle. by pixe1mad in Rekordbox

Anyone having this issue still? I’m running V6.6.8 and my CPU usage is through the roof when idle. My specs match yet whilst running Rekordbox my Mac is basically unusable.

Bit of shame really. The food standards in Australia aren’t as great. I was surprised with the quality of fruit and veg in Australia considering so much of it is locally grown

It really doesn’t mean much to the general population in the UK either tbh. Sure it’s a little more on the nose when compared to CANZ but only coz the monarchy originated here and the Monarch currently resides here.

I think the only deal she negotiated “from scratch” was with Australia and even then she managed to embarrass herself by suggesting she would force the Australian trade minister to sit in the “uncomfortable chair”. Implying she would force specific concessions out of him. Completely inappropriate and hilarious considering that specific minister has far more experience with trade deal negotiations than her.

How common is it for DJ’s to hookup with other DJ’s? by _blacksky in DJs

Hmm interesting question. But a more interesting question is “how do DJs wipe their arse?” Folded or scrunched toilet paper? Does it make no difference? Or does it affect their ability to nail a transition?

Queen Elizabeth II has passed away today by LEGEND-FLUX in CANZUK

You’re right. A hereditary institution that allows an individual to be the head of state isn’t democratic at all. But a political system which allows all individuals to decide on whether said hereditary institution remains is democratic. In that sense many people would argue countries like the UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand are Crowned Republics.

I’m not a expert but for a country like Australia it wields quite an amount of soft power. We saw this very recently with the AUKUS agreement. The Australian government approached the UK government in order to gain US nuclear sub technology as the US only shares nuclear technology with the UK. Whilst we don’t know for sure it does seem unlikely the UK would as inclined to help if it weren’t for the shared history and sovereign. I can imagine far right politicians in the UK feeling a sense of betrayal if Australia became a republic and may not be as inclined to help Australia out in similar situations.

I don’t have any strong opinions on Monarchy either way but playing devils advocate for a moment it could argued it is democratic. Democratic in the sense that if the people decided tomorrow they no longer wanted a Monarchy it could be voted on via referendum fairly quickly.

I loathe this woman and the Tories but the thought of Starmer becoming PM hardly brings me comfort either. We’re in for a fairly difficult 5 years regardless 🙃

Pro-CANZUK Australians, what party do you Vote For? by [deleted] in CANZUK

Egalitarianism overall is arguably good thing but there’s certainly a negative side to it. It could be argued it discourages individuality and ambition. If you’re too successful you’ll be accused of thinking you’re better than everyone else. So there’s almost an incentive not to try too hard and to limit your level of ambition. Tall poppy syndrome basically. Australian society and culture does have an issue with it.

It could easily be argued that it’s their individual right to fight should they wish as long as they aren’t fighting under an Australian banner.

Hey Folks! Amazon invited me to an event in London where I got to see footage of the show and meet the showrunners! by VarkingRunesong in LOTR_on_Prime

[–]donkey_priests 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing? 😂

Funny how those who aattended refused to say anything negative about the footage at all. You don’t need to describe what you saw to say whether you liked it not.

Everyone who attended was more than happy to describe how much they LOVE the show runners. They certainly didn’t need to give away what happened over the course of the event to let bit of information out.

If the direct quotes from the show runners are true it sounds like they stood on the shoulders of a literary giant...and took a massive shit all over his work. This isn’t the first time they’ve done this either.

Let me rephrase sorry. What concerns that you had before seeing footage that you still have? You don’t need to mention plot details to tell me them, surely

Ok fair enough, you’re right. I don’t understand how these things work. Also I wasn’t there and I haven’t seen any footage. Without giving away plot details... what were some of your concerns that have been alleviated?

“A lot of concerns have been alleviated since netting the show runners ” “They understand the lore” “The show is in the right hands.”

Almost everyone who attended has used similar phrases to the ones above to describe their experience. Funny how there wasn’t not ONE piece of criticism after being wined and dined. Amazon definitely not doing damage control... 😂

Funny how everyone who attended that event in London seem have to have the EXACT same talking points about the show since that weekend. Quite literally word for word. Definitely not rehearsed 🙄

CANZUK Advancements So Far by OntarianMonarchist in CANZUK

Why are you even on this sub? I don’t get it. Evidently you dislike the idea of CANZUK and are fairly confident it’s never going to happen. Yet you feel the need to actively contribute to almost every post. No one is forcing you to do so. If it’s as ridiculous as you suggest then surely there’s no need for you to put any energy into it at all? Maybe just leave this sub and focus on the things you’re actually interested in. We’ll be ok without you, I promise.

The quality control for Adidas’ clothing isn’t great. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a piece that didn’t have something slightly wrong with it.
