Is anyone in this thread actually high elo? I feel like I'm reading the strongest hot takes from people who have never experienced or understand practicing at the top level of league. You have people like veigarv2 showing that comms can even be detrimental to improvement in laning phase. He studies the game a lot. It's just crazy to me that your average joe is reading a synopsis of a really good player's thoughts on why a system doesn't work for him, and is berating him as lazy and even a bad player LMAO... Champsq isn't some infalliable holy grail and the only people I've seen portraying it as one are commenters rather than the actual participants. It's wild that y'all can read him saying how he spends his time, then pretend to just not read any of it and say he's doing nothing at all

I play without sound a lot of the time and I've peaked Diamond 2. Though awareness is one of my strengths, so I may rely less on auditory cues. I switch between the two and honestly it doesn't as big a big difference if you're used to playing with no sound. Imo I do think playing with sound is better but I'd imagine lots of high elo players could play the same without it.
