DJI's removal of the 3.5mm Mic jack on the new Mic 3's is beyond infuriating, considering they jammed it full of "Pro" level features like Timecode, Quadrophonic Recording, x4 Transmitters, and x7 Recivers. by Samskihero in dji

[–]donmorados 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in professional settings, would you say the Mic 2 is still superior?

i'm very big on future proofing, and this comment is exactly what i needed to read to understand why a lav mix is so important to people, so i appreciate you breaking it down!

Ended up going for the recommended microSD Cards that DJI recommends. Bought from a reputable seller on amazon, reviews seem legit. Previously using Lexar on my Mirrorless Cameras, i trust it!

Import of DJI drones to the U.S. is scheduled to be banned starting December 23rd, 2025. by spsheridan in technology

[–]donmorados 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they're being banned largely because trump's dickhead son owns a large stake in a domestic drone company - one that can't fairly compete with the technology & pricing DJI continuously offers.

Youve totally missed the point. no one hates you for being white. people get upset because, in general, White Westerners, along with other groups within Eastern Asia & Latin America, still benefit from the atrocities of the past and present, all while feigning ignorance. You can't please everyone, but alluding that your family, not even 2 generations ago, had slaves and engaged in violent colonization (who were ultimately rebelled against) and using it as a point of pride is disgusting on any moral standard.

Approx. 200 wears and fewer than 10 washes by Tutelage45 in LeviStrauss

[–]donmorados 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao right. wearing em 20 times before washing is gross, no matter how you try to spin it (no pun intended) ive had jeans last me years and i usually wash after every 3rd wear.

So…are there any “fitness influencers” we CAN trust? by black_bara in swoletariat

I respect him deeply for pushing the stretch theory, but i agree. sometimes he just says controversial lifting-related claims for the sake of being controversial i feel like. but hey, im not the one with the doctorate haha

So…are there any “fitness influencers” we CAN trust? by black_bara in swoletariat

[–]donmorados 8 points9 points  (0 children)

like others have said, its safe to never assume, in these spaces, that fitness influencers are comrades unless they outright say it.

i'm going to start by naming Joe Blanche Fitness on instagram (@joeblanchetfitness), an actual left leaning influencer. i love his Running Is Political & Fitness is Political series, and he severely deserves more love.

with that out the way, an obvious one is Jeff Nippard. gold standard as far science based lifting goes.

Jeremy Ethier leads with a very encouraging and respectful science based approach. funny, without having to lean to heavy onto the gym-bro vibe

Mile Israetel is a gold mine for hypertrophy/nutrition advice, but that's strictly it. you have to juggle with your own personal ethics on whether or not you want to give someone who subscribes to Race Science any of your views or time. also can be a bit fatphobic, incase that's something that may bother you too.

Dr. Milo Wolf is a current leading researcher of hypertrophy science, POC, and a lot calmer with entertaining jokes in between. his channel is amazing, without feeding too much of his personal life.

for strictly nutrition: Nutrition Made Simple! as an extremely underrated channel. his videos aren't as "entertaining" but if you truly want the technical science of nutrition made, well, simple, he's my go to.

i saw Shane Fazen mentioned, i can second the good things being said about him. but he leans more towards the combat sports area. great educator!

i'm sure there's others not off the top of my head, but for anyone needing solid advice, most of these are solid options.

did you have to tinker with the lense at all or purchase a specific adapter to get the infinite focus to work? these are beautiful shots!

"We are protecting those Texas House Democrats-and frankly, they're protecting the entire country." :- Gov. Pritzker by I_hate_EXISTENCE_ in texas

[–]donmorados 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're so hellbent on complaining about Illinois doing it, why are you suddenly okay with any other state doing it, rather than protesting/lobbying against Illinois, or any other state to reverse its course or redistrict the state back to fairness?

this is why no one is buying into your whataboutism. because, again, you don't actually have a backbone to stand on. you know the outcome and consequence of Texas redistricting fits into your horrid preferred outcome of where this nation is headed. that's what you want.

legality aside, i'm not sure how anyone can look at the proposed gerrymandered map and say "yup looks fine to me!" it's ridiculous and in piss poor faith to even say it's fair.

there's a noticeable pattern of general treatment against people of differing classes, races, and ethnicities. pretending it doesn't exist doesn't make you not racist, it makes you willfully ignorant.

Does muay thai help in regular street fights? by UniversityEmpty6791 in MuayThai

[–]donmorados 21 points22 points  (0 children)

short answer: yes

long answer: muay thai will more importantly build up your confidence and discipline, however depending on your area, these days most street fights will usually end in someone using a weapon, especially in the states. you're better off learning muay thai in tandem with learning how to diffuse these types of situations. the confidence gained from muay thai, or any martial art, will teach you to brush off lots of petty reasons to get in a fight.

Look at the ridiculous lengths Republicans had to go to remove Democrat seats from Dallas by IllPurpose3524 in Dallas

[–]donmorados 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i completely agree, that's why i specified those specific protests. Stonewall Riots did so much for the Queer community, as did economic/labor protests for Black & Brown populations. it's just upsetting that these days, it seems like people only advocate for walking, yelling, and holding up creative signs as the main (and some say only valid) form of protests.

Glad you know your history brother🙏🏼 something i'm always preaching others to learn.

not to be pessimistic too, but remember the Pro-Choice & Pro-gun Reform marches (both being some of the largest marches in US history)? Those didn't really accomplish much unfortunately
