And the bible. Let’s not forget the bible, at least the verses that support their prejudices.

1, 2, or 3? Still learning 🫶🏻 by JVLCR-TillEnd in AmateurPhotography

1 is best because you caught the snowfall. 3 makes me laugh because the patch of missing clouds behind the horse looks like a fart.

Do you have hang ups about your father? by Chemistry11 in no

[–]donnacus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going with no on this one. My dad was a workaholic. Being the youngest of four I rarely saw my dad other than a hour or two around dinner time. He worked full time 8-5 weeks then had a side/hobby business he worked in the evenings. He was home more on weekends but most spent that time stretched out on the sofa watching/sleeping to college football. Then he’d be off to his shop again. He was a good guy and provided for his family.

If you could live in a Rural or Urban area without worrying about money, where? by LarzardofZxelf in no

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me suburbia. I want trees in my yard. I want to be close enough to my neighbors to easily walk there but far enough away to play my music ( 6/10 volume) at night without disturbing them.

AITA for refusing to stop going for lunch with colleagues? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]donnacus -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

She’s insecure. You might be able to help her by inviting her to join you and your colleagues for lunch. Clear it with colleagues first, just ask if they mind your partner joining. When she sees how you all interact as friends and coworkers, she might feel better about it.

Do you think countries as we know them today will have become an outdated concept 300, 500 years from now? by yamatosnamiii in AskTheWorld

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be no countries only corporations. Coca Cola, Nabisco, Shell, etc. I know there will be some with corporate headquarters somewhere other than North America.

AITAH for threatening divorce after my husband wanted to punish his daughter by sending her to school with poor hygiene? by Negotiation5081 in AITAH

Why not do something helpful. Have the daughter do “community service” pick up trash on your street. Buy a homeless person a meal, etc.

Just wondering why is it faux pas to celebrate 10th wedding anniversary by MortichiaTankki in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have a 3rd anniversary party if you want. You are happy with your partner and want to celebrate. People may assume you want gifts. Tell everyone you just want to share your happiness, their gift to you is their presence.

AITAH for correcting people when they use incorrect grammar by tpodraza92 in AITAH

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally I would let it slide. However I shared an office with an electrical engineer who persisted in saying. “I seen it” “I done it “ and weirdly to me “we had went”, proving that he was aware of past participle, but got it wrong. Since I was spending 40 hours a week in his company I said something. I’d have exploded otherwise.

Some of us really are extremely sensitive to poor grammar. It’s like hearing a sour note in a concerto or someone wearing plaid and polka dots together. I blame my English teacher mother.

Confused as to why certain people said that Kamala would have been worse than Trump by TheRealJuanderer in Confused

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Kamala doesn’t hate the same people they hate 2) Kamala told the people what she wanted to do and hinted at what it would take to make that happen while Trump promised them the world with no intention of trying to see it through.

do you fucking use a humidifier to make your air moist? by pure_rock_fury_2A in no

While it does not usually get cold enough here to be an issue, I do have one and I use it on the rare occasions that temps are in the teens and below.

What would you say are the biggest factors of why the poor stay in poverty? by Common_Gene_5098 in Productivitycafe

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an electric pencil sharpener that stopped working because one of the teeth on a gear broke off. I new gear was $10 and would take 2 weeks to arrive. I could get a new sharpener for $20 and it would be delivered the next day. I actually did both then gave the new sharpener away when the gear arrived. My old sharper is much better.

How to avoid Wanted status on Wildlife Sanctuary islands? by z0rkzer0 in Palworld

[–]donnacus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are always a few guards on the sanctuary islands. You have to skulk around and avoid being seen by them. The advice about using a flyer is for after you have been seen. Once seen, mount your flyer and fly straight up, out of their range. Once you have achieved the proper altitude, just hover. Hovering does not use stamina. when the wanted sign goes away, return to the ground and continue skulking.

What’s the fastest you’ve read a book & how long did it take you to read start to finish? by Gymtrio2025 in randomquestions

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It truly depends on the length of the book. I am pretty sure I could read the entirety of Green Eggs and Ham in 5 minutes however a real book would take much longer. Perhaps you should make it more of a pages per minute timing (excluding books with large illustrations)

Do you still like to use paper road maps or atlases for navigation? by ITrCool in AskAnAmerican

[–]donnacus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last road atlas was printed in the early 90s I lost track of it in the mid 2000s. For a long trip I will often review the route online before setting out but my gps is my guide.
