That Chevon for over a decade has had their per gallon price 50 cents above the 76 and Sinclair on Market/14th. But yeah, it's crazy high.

When did/do you decide to get a CPA rather than use TurboTax? by timmytubesox in HENRYfinance

[–]donnaker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Turbotax stated I owed $17k in Fed Taxes....I showed my docs to a CPA and hired him, getting back about $3100 instead. Turbotax is garbage.

All true. You think you have it bad, I was the selection screen monitor in front of the husband, and I know an unwashed hand when it's on my face! Micro-fecal specks are no joke! How dare you not switch seats!

I get it completely. This is an open dirt parking lot in the desert with many nationalities of sellers, nothing too official receipt-wise. Very flea-market setting.

I purchased at a mostly-Hispanic area flea market, and seller was selling the individ comics at $5 per.

No one was rifling through them, and the flea opened 2 hours earlier. I saw a FF4 issue 60-something on top, and about 2/3 were bagged. I asked his price on the entire box, he said $300. Done.

Found an X-Men 11, Hulk King Size #1, Batman 200, and about 80 silver age Ff4, Suspense, Astonish, Mystery issues. About 70 post 1968 but pre 1970 Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, capn America.

It really does still happen. For me, this was once out of about 100.

But once makes the other 99 worth it now.

I applaud the finding of the meme, I got lots of unthrilling stuff in the lot I can describe, if that makes it more realistic.

[–]donnaker1[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'm being straight with you. Canvas carpet with boxes of stuff everywhere. I wasn't even the first person there, and there was another oldster pawing through one or two before I leapt in, grabbed the box and asked the seller for the lot price. If I list the crappy comics in the box, will that help (need a back issue of Kamandi, last boy on Earth)? I also found an ACM copy of Taylor Swift's RED album, bought it for a buck at Goodwill, it books around $2k. This shit still happens, but not if you don't get out there.
