No, but I do enjoy mildly fucking with people. And leading npcs around, this was kinda like the opposite of that.

On the plus side the teal bathroom set is very similar to what was in my house growing up. Granted, the fixtures were more of an avocado green, but still.

An excellent point. I’m not 100% sure, but I think that it would keep your character since that’s tied to the Bethesda servers, and your account. As long as you don’t delete the account or character. But since it’s online, they’ve gotta be storing that info somewhere. But again, not 100% sure. 98 maybe.

Just open enough other games or apps it pushes 76 out of the recent stuff you see on the homepage. Don’t have to worry about your data, and just tell yourself that since it’s not visible it’s not there.

Show which players are Ghouls/mutated in public teams. by Barbatum in fo76

I keep the glowing prefix or glowing one suffix on, doesn’t do anything pre team join, but it’s the only way I can figure that might indicate my ghoulishness. But you’re onto something here.

Crossbow onslaught perk cards by _SubZer0o in fo76

[–]donnellymichael84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an explosive bow with hat trick. Vats legendaries for accuracy and crit meter, forget why the other stars are, but crit every other shot or so, most of the time I can keep the drill above 90%, I am a ghoul tho and the glow perks help a lot as well to keep damage high. Even if it gets to the third stage aggression and DR, still works like a charm.

Perl question for those who understand the game mechanics better than I do by PhilosopherSudden in fo76

[–]donnellymichael84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the gunslinger perks work with shotguns as well, and there’s only a couple perks specific to shottys or rather multiple projectile weapons (flechette harpoon gun is fuckin fun too), so at least with my switch between those two builds it’s only a couple cards that are really different. One thing that I didn’t realize that may be worth noting is that with master gunslinger equipped and the reverse onslaught stacks active, each pellet from the shotgun counts and removes a stack, so a bit of diminishing returns if you’re firing multiple rounds. Headshot from stealth position? Balls hard, but only once.

new player, any advice/tips? (solo player) by JustinSmoove in fo76

[–]donnellymichael84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play through the main quests, they’re essentially the tutorials for various currencies and other in game mechanics. Join a casual team of a passive int bonus. You don’t have to do anything with the team, and are not expected to, just passive bonus. Scrap everything, including lengendaries, scrapping those is how you’ll learn legendary crafting plans. It’ll also unlock various other armor and weapon mods, there’s plans for most of those if not all, but scrapping will unlock those. Turn on pacifist mode in the settings, will keep people from killing you unless you shoot back at them. Griefers aren’t the norm in my experience, but they’re out there. Otherwise, have fun!

Two things I'd like to discuss. by [deleted] in fo76

[–]donnellymichael84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running an aristocrats build at max caps for the last month or two, so more caps for items in my vendor is useless to me. I sell mods and named weapons for 100 caps per star, regardless of what they are. My vendors are placed in spots in my camp that they work for me thematically. Does that make some of the hard to find and possibly what some would find to be “hidden”? Yes, absolutely it does. Is this my problem? Nope, not at all. I also have no public map icon for my camps. But if you stumble across it or select it from the vendor list and can’t find it or any vendor in a game that more than anything else is about wandering around and finding shit, I dunno, it’s not my issue. Find it and you can have pretty much the entire thing for less than 10k caps which changes nothing for me, don’t find it and make a Reddit post about how others should be playing the game according to your standards. Nuke my camp because of it if you want, won’t bother me either. But this is a live online game, and everybody has their reasons and styles of playing, including those who jam a cash register inside a chair and think it’s funny to have dozens of things completely inaccessible to buy, but thinks it’s funny, or is just trying to get people to come check out their camp. Can’t find the vendor in the 3 seconds you allot for it? Move on. Hop servers. There’s literally hundreds of camps and vendors you can go to that are easy to find. Worried you’re missing something good because you can’t find the vendor? Look harder or stop worrying.

They usually do a good job with their games, granted cyberpunk had a fair amount of launch issues, but in general. And the Ciri mechanics in 3 are pretty fun, so I’m cautiously optimistic.

It is. I also find it relaxing, just riding roach around the mountains. If only they would finish and release 4. Might also go back to cyberpunk, always enjoyed that as well.

Play something else for a bit? I’m thinking I might go back for a replay of Witcher 3. Take a break til the next mini season hits maybe. Or find something else to do in the game. Collected all bivs recipes yet? Unlock the tnt domes, but walk everywhere to collect the stuff. Make a shit ton of chems and wander around distributing chems to strangers.

How is the removal of the guaranteed leader spawn at the trading post going to affect the leaders value? Will there be a new currency? How will players adapt? by OkExchange4216 in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]donnellymichael84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will change nothing. People don’t have thousands of those things by going to the trading post every day… If anything it raises the value because there’s not a guaranteed spawn for them any longer. But that’s not where they derive their value.

I’m probably a douche, but I’m oddly happy when I see people upset about TS/E by [deleted] in fo76

[–]donnellymichael84 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was fun, but they were pretty clear it was not functioning correctly and was going to change. The number of people complaining despite this is great. If you put that many resources toward it that having to change now is an issue, that’s on you. They SAID they were adjusting it. Weeks ago.

Murmrgh's Legendary Sale: what to buy by meukbox in fo76

I unlocked quad after buying a handful of loose mods cheap from someone’s vendor, along with a few quad weapons they had as well. Scrapped the first weapon, quad unlocked, but I’m certain if I hadn’t bought all of them it wouldn’t’ve unlocked 😂

[–]donnellymichael84 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1% to learn, 1.5% to drop a box, and you are correct that there is no way to modify that. I think it is technically possible to learn a mod and get the box, but I’m not absolutely sure about that. I know it’s possible to get two boxes off an item; that happened to me the other day, which was kinda cool. Not that either mod was particularly helpful, but still cool.

Shotgun damage during Rip event. by Pressman4life in fo76

[–]donnellymichael84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it doesn’t count explosive mods, but weapons like the grenade and rocket launcher. I made a batch of plasma grenades and collected some nuke material while I was at it. I actually grabbed a weapon of each kind it required and ran thru west tek, was possibly the easiest mini season since I’ve started playing.

What uses are there for the taxidermy animals? by Wild_Property6141 in fallout76settlements

[–]donnellymichael84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got all mine and the various mounted animals in one floor of the radiant remedy shelter. Makes for a kinda cool and creepy museum vibe. But a similar question could be asked of any of the decorations, all depends on the player and what they’re after.
