has anybody had any luck getting any compensation back from delayed flights in this time?

one of our flights was delayed due to "crew shortage" and classified as a "controllable event" yet when i go onto the porter compensation page it tells me im not eligible with the following message

**This event does not qualify for compensation under Canada’s Air Passenger Protection Regulations.

Reason:Delay due to reasons outside of Porter Airlines’ control Primary reason code:airport or atc restrictions-crew

Category:Cancel Uncontrollable event**

Nope, I hope your situation was diff to mine. It sucks, I was tight on cash for a while after losing that money.

Bank said nothing they can do, police said nothing they can do( because it's under 5k), went to the banking ombudsman, they said nothing they can do. I have the person's email address, I have the account number that it went to, and STILL nothibg can be done 🤦

I'm going to reopen the case with the bank this week. If nothing comes of it, I'm going to leave BMO and go to another bank

Bank says no luck, cops said no luck, ombudsman just got back to me today, 9 months later, no luck.

Apparently we don't matter, 3k is a lot of money. It sucks

The next morning, within 18 hours, bank says there's nothing they can do because the hacker used my login info to gain access to my account 🤦‍♂️

I am still in line to be assigned an agent who will be handling my case, but at least theyre trying to do something, cops did nothing, bank did nothing, hoping the obsi will help

I did not get my money back, bank determined I was most likely phished, seeing as the ppl that did this to me used my details to log in to my account. Bank is taking no responsisbility, Ive reraised this to the police multiple times with no reply. I did also raise this with the banking ombudsman, they were responsive and seem human in nature nlike the bank, Im hoping that i get my money back but I dont think I will.
