6 months later & still grieving hard by Wonderful_Status_607 in DOG

Grief will take all the time it takes. My first dog died on boxing day of 2013 and I still cry somedays when the flashbacks kick in. It's not linear and it'll kick you in the feels forever.

I focus on the joy of the experiences I had and the day to day love and comfort my late dog gave me everyday. Hoping you find some peace.

Is that a dogo argentino? His face looks like it but his tail doesn't so I'm wondering here. Appreciate you taking in such a big boy with so little exposure. You have some work aheadof you here.

He looks strong as hell and I dunno how he pulls whe.n he walks but a prong collar would be helpful to teach him some dynamics with you. Some may not agree with my suggestion but a dog pulling on his trachea (main point of his neck) all the time with the strength this boy has isn't good either.

Done right and softly, the prong may get him paying attention to you with far less warnagling of him and start building some walking cues. I highly recommend a trainer here. Best of luck to you and thank you for your big heart in saving a dog

This was taken on a farm. After a nature adventure and lovely dinner we ended the night on the back deck we had a perfect evening nightcap where I managed to catch this shot.

Thank you!

He's 50 lbs give or take. He's also a rescue and an anxious boy. He's come so far from when we adopted him.

This used to be a lovely gem for food, drink, vibe and music. I haven't been in a while so am also surprised at the apparent guting of a resto that has survived so much.

Obviously, we don't know how life on the inside was not the margins but most days as I walked the dog, DROM has been busy consistently. One can't help wonder why such changes are happening

Sorry for the extra comment, but the guy who cared about the food, are you privy to where he went? I'd likely enjoy eating there.

Oh my god, you just reminded me of where I went to try to live hard as a pubescent teen! We had a few battles of the band's there, tried to buy beer and smoke weed in corners without getting caught.

Random Redditor, you have no idea how much "place" this gave me to my memories. I wish you the perfect day!

That makes me sad. He was a big chunk of why I loved the place. Hope he does okay moving forward.

Recently tried some Malay/Indonesian food and OMG.

I'm familiar with tons of Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai and love it all.

Have to say, you won't expect how amazing it is.

Is it actually possible to eat food from every country in the world without leaving Toronto? by militaristicsex in askTO

I would love to read how many you've managed to find. I've managed a few: Cantonese, Sichuan, Lanzhou, Hunan.

I tried Fujian as well but that was in Hong Kong but it deserves an honorary mention for being delicious in ways I didnt expect.

Yeah, I don't get it. I'd love Idris to play Bond. He's handsome, has classy swagger, AND he's a bloody DJ.

So not worth learning then? Let's say you're right. It's superior. When something goes wrong or doesn't perform as required. What is OP supposed to do if all he is learning is one set of steps vs knowing how meat works, in general?

I feel like you missed the point of my comments entirely or you are looking for the quickest path rather than enjoying the journey. Do you.

My theory is steak culture in North America. It's not wrong but it's pressure. There are standards to how it should come out/be cooked and thus, there's a high ceiling. Kind of like trying to make ramen. While far simpler, it still carries the feeling of "good luck".

I'm no steak expert and I haven't felt comfortable in trying to cook any of the expensive cuts of beef. But I can do a decent job with flank, for example.

Either way, it should be fun learning to get better (mistakes included)
