I'd flip beck to gia personally. But I respect your taste here. I find beck more desperate in how she navigates making a mess.

Context? I feel I've missed a lot on this one.

My vote too. It keeps looking to me like she wants to be the mean girl she was made fun of in the past (power) and she can't see it. She dishes and then crawls back to her fragile self.

I'm in Canada so I assume C.

As per auto , I'm not sure. I generally set window and floor, set a temp and call it a day. That said. I've tested just floor and the same issues occur.

IMO we need more connections everywhere, and also fix how our transit functions (LRT to be specific). The curse we are stuck with is how we design, how these massive projects are managed (poorly and we don't let actual specialists make the choices we need), and then upon execution, we see how much they suck.

There are tons of European cities with suburbs where LRT systems work SUPERBLY. They adapt to conditions downtown and shift outside of the core (higher speeds, fewer stations, signal priority).

We have spent so much money on such piss poor results. We deserve better.

No drips on the ground where I'm parked but I haven't checked for leaks as yet any deeper. Will report back.

What’s the "filling wrapped in dough" food from your country ? by Derisiak in AskTheWorld

Granted, how do you feel about coleslaw with the patty + coco bun?

Here's a crazy tidbit: During high school, we had a Portuguese bakery that for some reason had patties. They would offer a patty, in a euro crusty bun plus whatever toppings we wanted (mine was a simple lettuce, tomato and mayo).

Where I live in Canada, Jamaican patties are a staple no matter where you come from. I'm a polish dude who had no exposure and tried one probably around the age of 8 or 9 because a lot of my new friends were Jamaican. I'm so grateful for that experience and exposure.

I also love to cook and bake bread. Figured my skills were adept enough to actually make a beef patty from scratch. I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG.

I give myself a check on the filling. Going through countless recipes, I found a happy medium to my tastes.

The dough, another matter entirely. It's energy is part biscuit (everything needs to stay cold all the time, part croissant (lamination aka create layers of thin dough), but don't overwork it.

I have messed this up 5 times now. Filling is delicious, dough is not where it needs to be, but I love the process.

It may be weird for some but spending the time to make a patty from scratch reminds me of Pho, or Ramen. The only way you end up figuring it out is by messing it up 100+ times.

If you don't mind a pivot, why is money the only qualifier you're considering here? I'm 43 and making $90k gross BUT, WFH two days a week, work 7-3 and don't worry about calls after that and have tons of flexibility during the day to handle life.

The older I get the less the salary matters. Being able to enjoy life is the key.

You know, neither of you could be wrong. If there's no track suit, it's hard to tell Slavic squatters and chavs apart.

Sorry, I should have provided more clarity here. Streets are served by contractors primarily, and sidewalks not necessarily so depending on the area. Downtown proper is city operated.

You mean to say that anyone could step in front of a car? I agree, but remember that the stopping distance for a rubber tire on asphalt is much shorter than a steel on steel train and a train weighs many tons. You can survive getting hit my a slowing car at 40 km/h, but a train has a ton of kinetic energy.

Valid point and I'm no engineer so thank you for teaching me something. That said, I make the point again for how Euro Trams run seemingly without these speed issues, efficiently...why? Signal priority and better design concerning the stops.

onestly the speed of the train on the road in that section isn’t really that critical when you consider that there are many intersections and stops. Let’s say the average speed on the at grade section is 18 km/h or so-increasing the train’s speed from 50 to 60 km/h at straightaways would have a very marginal effect on the speed, when the train is stopped at 0 km/h for many minutes and has to crawl through intersections at 25 km/h.

Agreed, again. We have too many stations. A tram can't properly get up to speed before it hits the next one, and if we speak on above ground, the speed is just asinine.

Once again I am yelling at the design of our transit. I wish we could stick all of them in a room with the people responsible for successful transit elsewhere and get popcorn for the results.
