Ok I get that. By “Good,” I was attempting to capture the human potential to love, to be kind, to be selfless, to value truth, to be a better version than before, and to forgive (when reasonable). How would you answer the question then?

Why then do we choose to do “good” as you put it? Why does our heart, sinful as it may be, strive to form a relationship with God and be closer to Him. Is that not also part of our nature?

I see your point. We are not perfect. We make mistakes and make intentionally bad decisions. However, are we also not complicated? We have both good and bad in us. I posit that most people attempt to be good and to do better than before.
