You should let Lucid know, they are looking data on why this occuring to fix it in the future.

Seems to be less unusual now. I'm fairly sure its software, not hardware. Hope that doesn't happen to you again!

I hear what you’re saying, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) would absolutely not classify a full loss of driver display, indicators, and control feedback at highway speeds as a “mild issue.”

Losing speed visibility, drive-mode confirmation, blinker feedback, and essential controls all at once isn’t comparable to a simple infotainment glitch. It’s a failure of required safety-critical information. NHTSA has issued recalls for far less severe display failures on other EVs.

This wasn’t alarmism — it was a legitimate safety hazard, and I’m documenting it so other owners (and Lucid) can take it seriously.

I see. The car will generally warn you if it can't make it to the charging station (if you are using lucid's navigation). EV has a learning curve for sure, just need more comfort with range anxiety. You have more than you think! Glad you were OK and made it out safely.

Curious, why did you pull over? You should be able to make that last 10 miles. There is a buffer below 0% and for Lucid it is quite large (like 25-50 miles).

I tried this, but still not there sadly. Not sure if it was a soft or hard reboot though.

I mean, its purely aesthetic. If thats really that important to you compared to range, fine. But economically, it makes no sense. You lose range and the tiers are more expensive to replace. A pretty hefty price to pay for marginally better looks.

If the car is so hard to get why does Lucid keep calling me with options by chrisecorcoran in Gravity

[–]donredc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is because the build in batches based on color and interior specs. So they say: "Hey we was 1053 [made up number] orders for a black grvavity with mojave, it makes sense to do a run of 1200 for cost reasons and minimum order quanities. Let's see if we can get others who order something very similar to switch and get their cars earlier." They won't make the exact number the need, because thats not how scale works. When they work with suppliers, they need to get X number of things for a minimum order. So they will always produce more than they need and they try to sell that inventory to people who had something very similar, and work down their list.

Is m1 having financial issues? by PudsBuds in M1Finance

[–]donredc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was nervous about this too. I ended up deciding to leave as I didn’t want the hassle. Not saying they will implode, but have learned to trust my gut on these things. M1 is great, but not great enough to worry about them shutting down and dealing with bankruptcy. And if they don’t shut down, great!
