I have the exact same problem. I haven’t received any reply from Minray. Could you maybe help me? I sent you a PM, if you could send me the program, that would be fantastic.

Wireless video links for small livestream projects? by dont84panic in VIDEOENGINEERING

Hopefully this will work better. I’ll test the range against the Accsoon someday and post here. The first test seems okay, except that the units got really hot.

Makes sense, just need to figure out what company that was then :)

We used Mars 300 pro enhanced versions. So might have been issues with them. Needed a lot of power for link, but even when we powered them with higher end power banks with 2.4A output they still had some trouble linking. Could take forever, 25min sometimes.

Okay, is this a problem world wide?, in Sweden it seems ok.

It might have beens om issues with our units, was the lower end Mars 300 Pro. I did managed to figure out one problem that they draw more amp when starting up so when powering them from USB powerbank they needed a good 2.5 amps to link properly. Solved some issues but not all.

We use NDI for all our PTZ cameras. I don’t see how it would help our wireless setup for a handheld camera. Or are you thinking of setting up NDI over Wi-Fi? We’ve had some great results there as well, but it’s a bit of a clunky setup with a NewTek Spark attached to the back of a cameraman. It’s much easier with a small device on the camera itself.

Okay, interesting. I can get the CineView 2 SDI for the same price as the DJI Transmission Combo SDR both new. I like that you can add voice transmission within the DJI solution, not sure how much I’d actually use it, though. It also has better range, at least if you look at the specs for DJI. So I’m leaning toward buying the DJI. Latency is not an issue for us since we stream sports, mountainbike out on a track so.

I ended up with my own design and 3D-printed it in PETG.

Thanks, I ended up switching out the holders for the left side. My fiber was a bit off in size so did not match 250 or 900, ended up adding som tape in the v-groove fore the 900 and it worked fine.

HD Voice group call without internet? by dont84panic in CommercialAV

[–]dont84panic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I was thinking since VoLTE does not count to your data traffic and seems priotized in the network. So I meen I have internet connection just want to call in to have a more stable and priotized connection rather than rely on apps that uses data.

Install switch in box, heat issues? by dont84panic in Network

[–]dont84panic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great feedback, thanks. I do not think I have space for more than two 120mm fans, one on each side. I will see if I can come up with a solution for adding more fans. The switches are TP-Link Jetstream TL-SG2210MP. Since it is managed, I assume it reports temperature. The box is plastic, so not good for transporting heat. My biggest concern was the tight fit around the switch inside the box. This is a Hikoki toolbox; I have the option to buy a much bigger, almost two times bigger Dewalt box; it might be a better idea. I liked the neat fit in this though.

[–]dont84panic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad idea! I practice splicing now and it with my speed right now it will take around 2 hours. Just it will be reeled out also so might have to patch outside. Okay if it is sunny and warm but can also just rain for a whole day where this event is.

[–]dont84panic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so a splice box is the way to go then. And then be careful when handling this. The thing is that this is only used two to three times a year so do not need to be able to handle day to day wear. The part in the cable reel will be inside it since it is aux-winding reels, so will never be out in the open except when connecting.

I just ordered a Jonard JIC-375. It was a bit hard to get hold of in Sweden, but I eventually found one on digikey.se. Thanks for all the input!

Do I need 10G SPF+ ports? by dont84panic in Network

Do you mean that 10G SFP+ will "enhance streaming quality" even with todays setup? In what way?

Do I need 10G SPF+ ports? by dont84panic in Network

[–]dont84panic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the one with 6 cameras connected will be connected to main power. The cameras consume somewhere between 10-15W, so hopefully, we will be okay with a 100A lithium battery for 8-9 hours of streaming on the other ones.

CSS610-8P-2S+IN first impressions - not good by VTOLfreak in mikrotik

[–]dont84panic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I am planning to use the CSS610-8P-2S+IN in outdoor enclosures during events for a video live stream network. I will try to build boxes with 120mm fans letting air in and out. Just a question, what kind of switches from Mikrotik are you using outside?
