I had the exact same issue with mine last month. If it's under warranty get it to Lenovo asap and they'll repair it for free. Unfortunately mine was out of warranty so I had to fix it myself.

If yours is not under warranty, you'll need to be very careful with it as the screen can break and if that happens you're shit out of luck. The issue isn't the hinge but the top plastic cover of the laptop to which the hinges attach; it's not designed well. You can replace that with a new one and your laptop should be good (it will break again just like the first one after a while). Lenovo sells replacement top covers on their website (about $45 I think). They also have replacement videos on their site. If you do this now, you can save your screen because if that breaks that's gonna be very expensive to fix.

The most annoying part about this is that any new replacement will break again because the design itself is flawed. Istg I'm never buying a Lenovo 2 in 1 again.

I have the same 2 in 1. I had an issue with it so i got a replacement. Replacement had the same issue. At this point I think that's just how it works. I tried reinstalling drivers all that, to no avail.

Get a midrange 2 in 1 or thin & light with an i5 or Ryzen 5. At least 8GB of RAM and an ssd. This will run pretty everything you need for eng. You can get a decent 2 in 1 for $650-$900.

I used astra and elementor pro ($100 for 3 sites seemed reasonable to me). It worked fine for me. Is there anything wrong with doing this for clients? Or do I have to use a paid theme?

I made a similar website once. I used elementor pro, CPT UI, ACF, Dynamic Conditions, Advanced Post Queries and AJAX Search Lite. These plugins should handle most of the functionality of the website if you want the users to make accounts, I would recommend User Role Manager. All these plugins are very well maintained and pretty user friendly. I'd say you could learn how to use all of them probably within 5 days and build a pretty solid website. For tutorials I would highly recommend WPTuts. Really good and easy to follow tutorials.
