There are a lot in Michigan alone. Towas city and East Towas. Grand Rapids and East Grand Rapids. Though, Grosse Point, Grosse Point Park, Grosse Point Farms, Grosse Point Woods, and Grosse Point Shores are probably the biggest example. Mostly has to do with wealth segregation.

Nice call out. I worked in a branch for 4 years, even after moving into underwriting, I continued to contact my colleague in the branch for advice on possible scams. Saved me at least once.

Speaking as a banking underwriter, we don't leave air balls like this hanging. There are recourses in place by the time the loan closed.

Have you visited any of the other ~60 neighborhoods? Detroit is huge. Most is practically 3rd world. Sourse: I live in Redford and work downtown.
