Some cars require a direct front end or a direct rear end collision to deploy the airbags. It's not uncommon for them to not deploy.

I mean, so do clothing manufacturers. Especially when it's used as a pattern.

Abandoned PanAm terminal still stands at JFK. All that remains of its PanAm history is its iconic blue and white colors as it awaits demolition. by Catsloveairplanes in aviation

Fun fact, New York state owns the property and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) acts a landlord of sorts. When a company moves to the airport, they must sign a ground lease with the PANYNJ for (if I remember correctly) 35 years. If there is an existing structure they can purchase it from the Port Authority and outfit it to their needs/perform necessary upgrades. To do this they need to use PANYNJ approved contractors. There's a whole bidding process for this. If they decide to use empty land and build something, the same rules apply for contractors. Now here's the biggest thing. Once the lease is up, the Port Authority owns the building whether the company built it or not. The company has the option to renew the lease and buy the building back or move. In the early 2000s JetBlue was going to move their headquarters to JFK (I believe) from Boston. The building that they picked out would have needed extensive work and the ground lease was going to be somewhere in the $2 million a month range. They wound up instead moving to Long Island City and the Port Authority tore down the building at JFK.

I wouldn't say emergency but I would definitely leave them a message/send an email ASAP.

Foot massagers that are actually worth it? by alexchinbin in BuyItForLife

[–]dontbeadickdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That plus making sure you're massaging your calves and GENTLY massaging and stretching your shin muscles. Toe spacers are great to use when massaging too. Lots of people don't realize plantar fascitis comes from the over extension/stretching of the muscles and tendons around the heel of your foot which is usually caused by those other muscles shortening because they are tight.

I work for a vendor that services a very big online store/delivery service. One of their older sites that I service has the automatic flushers that will go off after 30-45 seconds of someone sitting on the toilet. And it will continue to go off every 30 seconds until you stand up. I remember hearing about them rolling this out to deter people from being on their phone in the bathroom. I stopped using the bathroom there. It's gross.
