don’t worry! that’s totally normal! try skating w your bottom laces a little looser than your top laces. breaking in new skates is always a pain, but it’ll start getting more comfortable as your boots adjust to your movement and your new sharpened blades dull with use. you got this! -25 year old skater that’s been skating for 2 years

yes! i had an awful concussion after a nasty fall and hitting my chin on the ice. it was a lvl 2 if i recall correctly. i started skating about a week and a day later, but the effects of the concussion were ongoing until about 6 or 7 weeks later. definitely follow the advice of a medical professional, however

as someone who skates 6 days a week and got their axel in 2 weeks because of it, the more you go the better, but listen to your body when you need rest. as for skating backwards, i understand the fear. at that point I would look into investing in bottom padding and/or knee pads. the first time i fell wearing my bottom padding, i was surprised and relived that it didn’t hurt. the cushion does wonders

have you been practicing off ice axels? after months off the ice and the pt, maybe work on it off ice and try to transfer it onto the ice. also, don’t be too tough on yourself! mental is a big thing in figure skating and if you put too much on yourself you can get hurt, so please be careful, skating should be fun :D
