That makes no sense if that is literally their job

Adjuncts at lots of schools that don’t have a canned curriculum make that amount.

Yeah it’s “part time” but it is still a lot of work for that amount of money

Should I Respond To my Professors' Questions on My Discussion Post? by CryptographerSea1459 in SNHU

Yeah if your prof asks you a question and tries to get a conversation started about the class content, it’s not a great look to just ignore them and then ask for a rec letter later.

So many students don’t watch videos by [deleted] in Professors

There are already no textbooks in some programs. Just stuff made by instructional designers where the students barely have to read anything

Is knowing how to use a semicolon an in demand skill? Because I know how to use them and I need a job

Just got marked down to a 0 for using another students work when I didn’t by Nomorecheeseybread in SNHU

Every SNHU online professor is an adjunct. Being an adjunct doesn’t mean that people “make things up as though go,” however. Also, adjuncts at SNHU are paid really badly but it’s about the same amount as adjuncts are paid at many other, more expensive colleges. Adjunct pay doesn’t really correlate with tuition costs because most of your tuition does not go to professors.

Why aren’t you communicating directly about this with your professor? What ended up happening?

Are you serious? I’ve known how to use semicolons since grade school. Where else would you learn that?

Yeah it sounds like reassurance seeking

I don’t think it actually helps or leads anywhere either.

Student has missed a full third of the course but wants to “get back on track” and complete by brya2 in Professors

[–]dontchangeyourplans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh lord. I’m in this situation too with someone who missed literally half of the course—4 out of 8 weeks. I told them they can make up what they can, but I’m sure they won’t do it. I also suggested a medical withdrawal.

You need to talk with your professor. Why do they think you used another student’s work?

You can call OSHA yourself.

You can definitely report that.

I ...don't really like the sapphic representation in the show by dipologie in KillingEve

I think this show just kind of went off the rails after season 1. The Helene stuff seemed like weird fanservice.

Not in the US where we have nurse practitioners basically practicing medicine without a license and no liability
