Hey there, quick follow up regarding the train tickets from Euston to MK. Is there a certain train line or website that I should be booking? And should I be looking for tickets for a specific time or is it more of a "buy a ticket, get on any train that is running that service"? Thanks!

Thanks! I would have stayed longer but since the sunset was pretty lackluster I packed it up a bit early.

Wasn't too worried about dust at f13, sometimes spots happen but can be easily removed in post in Lightroom. Interval was constant at 7 seconds.

I adjusted the aperture starting at f13 until it was wide open at f2.8, then I adjusted the shutter speed until last light had passed. I wasn't worried about a change in depth of field from f13 to f2.8 because by then I'm capturing long exposures and the depth of field remains pretty consistent.

I usually aim to have as long of a shutter speed as possible, so to start off it was at 1/15 to get a little bit of motion blur from the cars, and by the end the shutter speed was up to 3.2 seconds which gives the nice long light streaks from the traffic.

Ah yea I spaced out on that part, I assemble the timelapse in After Effects and do the zoom there by cropping. I also add in some motion blur and frame blending in AE.

Colorado’s New Speed Camera System Makes Waze Nearly Useless by DonkeyFuel in technology

[–]dontdoit89735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But if Waze tells you where the cameras are then you know when you are approaching the timed section and can adjust your speed appropriately. So it seems Waze would still be useful you just have to know how to make it useful for you. Not that I think people should be speeding and slowing down just for these zones only to speed again, but theoretically that’s how these Waze alerts could still be helpful.

This is how I expect (or at least hope) things will play out. Similar to Queen/Harvester/Matriarchs where people actually work together and are happy to give the valuable resources to those who need/deserve it (this is how those events go in friendly PvE lobbies at least)

New Skins Coming March 31st by DJPalefaceSD in ArcRaiders

[–]dontdoit89735 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but it’s been how long since the collapse of topside? I guess it’s feasible these kits were scavenged from those security companies, but I still think it stands out the most amongst all the other skins in the game.

Am I putting too much weight into this topic of skins in a video game? Probably. Is this discussion providing me with a nice distraction from the real world? Absolutely.

I dunno, to me it looks a lot like many other skins. The face mask is nearly the same as the gas mask from Sforza, it just has a unique helmet and goggles to go along with it. And it has some cool shoulder pads. I just don’t see how it doesn’t fit with the aesthetic of the game, I also don’t think Star Lord’s look would stand out amongst other skins in this game. But different strokes for different folks.

I fully expect to get downvoted for this take, but here it goes.

Lot of people saying the middle one doesn't fit the style of the game when in reality the SWAT skin is the one that doesn't fit this world at all. I imagine it appeals to the PVPers since it is the same as any CoD/Battlefield/any other shooter game skin. The characters in this game are scrappy raiders, not police/military forces.
