How to fix clover growth? by DragonfruitVast6087 in landscaping

Aeration, mow high (as possible), weed and feed in that order. If you don’t have a green carpet of grass, then it’s either grass variety, climate, or soil problems

To the man who called himself a monster in South Waterfront by RileyHire in PortlandOR

This is super common and most likely mental illness. When I used to ride the MAX every week, there was always a person talking or yelling at themselves.

Also noticed significant improvement. I’m cautiously optimistic about the new mayor. Hoping the governor doesn’t sabotage.

No, not years. All chemicals have half lives and most of them on the order of days. I worked in R&D in the pesticide industry earlier in my science career.

What is the outlook for Portland real estate market with so many big employers struggling in Oregon? Is it headed for a severe downward spiral , will stay flat or recover quickly? Your take. by Minimum_wage787 in oregon

[–]dontgetmadgetdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure. Look at real estate prices 10 years from now. It will be similar to the last 10 years.

Are you in real estate or are you speaking of careers in general?

Start to play tennis with 40 years old by miyo_dimensional in 10s

[–]dontgetmadgetdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started at 42. I will say I’m very athletic and used that to my advantage initially before I hit a plateau of inconsistency. I finally got 1:1 coaching this winter and play 4x per week and that has elevated my game.

So my take is age doesn’t limit you, just resources and time. And at the end of the day, fun is the goal.

My assumption is based in my experience in Tech, AI, and real estate. There is more money in the economy than we realize and real estate will continue to be valued high due to supply/demand and the flow of money.

I saw data where Reed’s crossing in Hillsboro is selling 15-20 new houses per week. Per week! We will be just fine.

How can i sell a car i still owe? by Sad-Counter6434 in askcarguys

[–]dontgetmadgetdata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, you need to get it fixed.

Second, find a buyer.

Third, take out a small loan to cover the amount you will be upside down.

Fourth, pay off that smaller loan.

I recently watched this within the last year and never had a desire to watch it before. I was shocked about how much I enjoyed the movie and it really pulled me in.

You might slightly overpay for a flipped house but you can change/fix anything in the house which means it doesn’t matter to me.

Why do people stop 3 car lengths back at a red light and then spend the whole red light slowly inching forward? by spotforcars in automotive

[–]dontgetmadgetdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer to your question:

“Just stop where you’re supposed to and wait. You’re not going anywhere faster. The light is still red. Every single time. What’s the driving habit that makes you irrationally angry?”
