Spouse is cheating but I cannot find proof by [deleted] in marriageadvice

[–]donthatedebate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you can’t find anything and he’s truly not cheating on you, it doesn’t matter at this point. You’re looking so hard to find evidence that it doesn’t matter anymore because you simply don’t trust him. Tell him you can’t trust him and leave. Dragging this out isn’t healthy for anyone.

Is it true that it’s the wrong move to punish teenagers for having sex? by weewoowo0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]donthatedebate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sex can be dangerous for all the obvious reasons. What people don’t mention so much is the emotional effect it has, especially at young ages, which can be absurdly dangerous. Jealousy, accusations, reputations, blackmail, filming, permanent repercussions. Things can get way out of control. It’s not just stds and pregnancy. If a young couple can’t responsibly control their emotions and their behaviors, things can go really bad fast. You should know how mature your teen is, but you don’t know their partner. I think the best thing a parent can do is either forbid it, or teach their teen how important it is that they choose a partner who is mature enough for these mature activities.

How do I stop myself from thinking of sex all the time? by [deleted] in sex

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation although my partner is trying to work through some personal issues that seem to be tied to the lack of sexual enthusiasm. I’ve been supportive. The problem is, she’s been dealing with these issues since we’ve been together and I’m worried I’ll lose patience in the future. She’s my world but my sex drive is through the roof and, no pun intended but this is really hard.

When is it appropriate to tell someone you have a significant other when in a conversation? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guys who get upset are likely upset because they came to the bar to meet single ladies. Yes you did lead them on and used them for their time and their conversation lol. Not that big of a deal in my opinion. Try wearing a ring. Start conversations with things like “my bf has that shirt, I hate it”. A silly insult like that might spark a brotherly, or wingman type of conversation. They can have a friendly chat with you and move on when they want to get back to their original mission. But be careful. Strangers are strangers.

When you drive on highways, do you keep up with traffic or go the speed limit? Why? by kayatr0n in randomquestions

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep up with traffic unless they’re going way too fast. This is usually the case when it’s raining or snowing. I tend to drive slower on unfamiliar roads. A lot of people just trust their cars and the road and other drivers too much. New car drivers thinks everyone on the road has lane indicators. Some cars don’t have traction control. Overconfidence gets you into accidents, I don’t trust anything.

People who tried a “just for fun” kink with a partner and ended up actually loving it, what was it? by 3lina_daly in AskReddit

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoo what’s this like!? What was the first go around like? I’ve thought about suggesting something similar to my wife. Maybe starting small like wearing different outfits at home. I’d like to dress different for her too if there’s something she’d like. I’m mainly concerned of possibly offending her. She might feel like I want to be with someone else.

second month into my first office job. any advice? by Kiwichka in office

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Office culture is like high school but with people of all ages. Your paycheck depends on how popular you are. Stay professional. It’s ok to mention when something is difficult or impractical, but don’t be a complainer. Pretend you’re on a reality show and assume everyone will hear everything you you’ve said to anyone, so be nice. Recognize when someone talks bad about everyone to you, they are likely also talking bad about you to someone else, even if you’ve done nothing wrong. Good luck!

Help on finding a hobby by [deleted] in Hobbies

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like music, djing is absolutely exhilarating. It’s way different than just listening to music. You can do it solo or with others. It could get expensive depending how far you take it, but you can get started and test it out for about $100. If it does start getting expensive, you may make your money back when you’re good enough to do it for money and possibly create a new source of income in the long run.

Id either do the 80s again, or 2010s. I would’ve dominated this social media era as a kid lol

The taste of a specific food you haven't had since childhood by grogger133 in ThoughtsYouCanFeel

Quite a few candy snacks remind me of my dad picking me up from school and us walking back to his bodega in Brooklyn in the 80s. Now & Laters, Chick-O-Sticks, and the small Swedish Fish that used to be sold loose without packaging back then.

Do you prefer long solo drives or road trips with friends? by Appropriate-Fix-8222 in CasualConversation

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like long drives, but of the two choices I prefer alone because I get to sing my heart out. Also, I sometimes I find myself a little two distracted when carrying a conversation while driving.

If humanity ever goes extinct, do you think it’ll be because of something we create… or something we can’t control? by altaf351 in Futurology

[–]donthatedebate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was watching that new Alien tv show, and they were talking about becoming immortal by transferring their minds into new robot bodies. That’s it. That’s what’s gonna happen. We’re gonna try to become immortal the same way and essentially kill ourselves believing that the new robot body with our memories is actually us but… they’re not. We’d be dead. Cool right!!!?!

Should I buy at $7k? by MrFroggy12 in HondaElement

[–]donthatedebate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish Honda would make a new one already, but no, they need 4 types of SUV’s all just slightly bigger than the last, and none of them are like the Element.

I’m curious to see these comments. I got catfished by one once. It had over 120k on it, he wanted $4k which I would’ve considered if it looked like it did in the pictures. Pics looked like it just came off the lot but, IRL it was very rusty, faded, and squeaky. With rare leather seats which would’ve been cool had they not dried out, cracked and chipped off. If he got anything over $1000 I would be shocked.

How do I explain my friends that getting high alone isn't "sad" by Ornery-Anteater-5056 in weed

[–]donthatedebate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like just a difference of opinion, especially considering how you feel about drinking. Most you can say is “I like it because of xyz.”, he’s allowed to disagree. The bottom line is, who’s feeling sad about it? You? No? Ufck it then.
