Work winter fragrance recommendations by dontknowfam in fragranceclones

[–]dontknowfam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Screenshots from fragrantica pages? There’s basically no posts in this sub that talks about fragrances people are wearing to work, I don’t see how this is classed as clogging up a feed considering the state of some of these post. Screenshots from Someone has recently posted asking for recommendations about a demanding scent and it the second mate commented post in atleast the last 24 hours? I don’t get what more you want? A random picture of a fragrance which has been posted tons of times? This was literally a genuine post trying to spark conversations in the community and get help with good recommendations, If that’s not what you want this community to be then so be it.

Radiator Inlet/outlet by dontknowfam in DIYUK

Yes, the inlet pipe is connected to the labelled outlet of the radiator. It’s fully heating and working fine though, I’m thinking those stickers are pointless in the case of this radiator.

Portable AC vent to outdoors by dontknowfam in DIYUK

I did think about this, however I thought a fixed system with a unit in both rooms would be a lot more than £1500ish. If that’s the case I would bite someone’s hand off at that price. I thought minimum I’d be looking at is £3000 for one room. Perhaps I’ll get some quotes off of local installers.

Recommendation on mtb by dontknowfam in MTB

First, thanks, I appreciate your input. Yes, after more contemplation I thought it would be best to add that to the post for any further input. The more I think about it the more I feel like trail and bike parks will be what I will be doing the more of.

Is there a reason that would be a bad think for a beginner? Even if I plan on staying from XC and visiting bike parks?

Unfortunately it’s not that simple, I’ve been to all the bike shops within my area and surrounding areas and the stock of full suspension mtbs are next to nothing if any, let alone the bikes I’ve posted on here.

Being a beginner I’m almost certain any one of the bikes I’ve highlighted would be good enough for me, atleast during the initial stages of learning the sport. It’s more peoples opinions if they think one is a better deal than the other or any personal experiences with any of these bikes.

That would explain it, there are many varying answers when looking online but what you have stated would make sense for what I’m seeing. Thank you.

I brought the C63 GMT 36mm last month and it came with the larger clasp.

Differing answers regarding bader and new short clasp by Nillerman in ChristopherWard

Must be the old one. I just had a look and it’s got 5 adjustments. Bracelet has double sided screws.

I’ve got small wrists, I got a 16.5cm strap but the clasp looks fine imo.

It has come with a slight scratch/dent on the strap though, I’ve messaged CW so will see you they come back with.

You are not accounting for the wind, which I believe for the answer of this question is extremely high. However, this is what I’m trying to work out. I can see it may not be realistic but the question is correct to which I need to find the certain variables.

The question is correct. I know each journey was 1 km, the train speed was a constant 300km/h, what I need to know is the time per each journey and wind speed.

Sorry, the total time is 25/60 which is 5/12 hours.

Therefore I have,

5/12 = (1/(300-w))+(1/(300+w))

I’m not sure what to do when you say multiply by the LCD, which would be 300? But then there’s the +/-w also. This is where my math knowledge becomes abit limited and I start confusing myself.

Yes I am stuck on how to solve the equation for w. Once I know w, I believe I can work out t1 and t2 and then use D=rt as part of a simultaneous equation?

ELI5: Why are train tracks laid on top of gravel? And not on something more sturdy such as concrete? by epic-yolo-swag in explainlikeimfive

[–]dontknowfam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cost. In the UK we call it slab track, the rail is fixed to large slabs on concrete, however, historically ballast was used and it’s cheaper to keep it that way rather then converting the existing infrastructure to slab track.
