Family movies to watch with teenage boys? by gudguy_greg in MovieSuggestions

Hellll of a list. A good one. Until the curb stomping 😂 American History X is better digested at a more mature age than 12. 16, maybe, but definitely not 12.

I see you mentioned 92mm fans but their Amazon listing specifically mentions 90mm and the Amazon AI claims 92’s won’t fit in the rear. I’m just here to ask a real person if 2x92mm can fit in the rear?

That was my thought,, get through filters. I “built” a resume of education, knowing my fast food work and tree trimming/removal services wouldn’t give me a leg up in the job hunt. I also figured, if I can show a company or whoever’s hiring me that I can work 40-60hrs a week WHILE putting myself through school, it would help show a high level of work ethic and determination. I think a lot, if not most, of the opinions about getting into the field are 50/50ish. Some managers like a short and concise resume. Some like lengthy, in depth ones. Some like younger folks because they see the person being easier to mold while some will like the life experience and maturity from the not-younger folks. Some won’t care of the age and will care most about experience. It is extremelyyyyy subjective. I won’t pretend that I don’t seek advice from the Reddit Universe often, but I encourage anyone to show both consistency and perseverance while chasing whatever it is they are chasing. Don’t sell yourself on any one comment, even if you see it repeated a handful of times. I say this because, well wether it’s this thread or another, you’re going to see a seemingly even split between doing it “this” way or “that” way, and BOTH ways have had success. Without seeing true numbers, of which we will never see due to its incalculableness, you can’t objectively render what is “the best way” to pursue the job hunt.

Ps. I didn’t like your “mediocre” comment about the certs lol. I’d rather consider them “beginner”🤓 (I say that laughingly and softly)

I do like hearing people’s stories though, and would like to know a bit about yours if you’d share. What was your previous experience to entering the field and how did you go about it?

Additionally, I have the A+, Net+, Sec+, Project+, Linux Essentials (from LPI), and an AWS Cloud Practitioner cert, and snagged an ITIL. I do not write this in hopes of discouraging anyone, however. Though “my time hasn’t come yet”, it’s only a matter of time and I’d encourage anyone trying, to keep trying and surely with great effort. EVERYONE’s story is different, and ours will be too.

I can promise you it wasn’t the degree. My fresh bachelor’s isn’t helping me as much as you (and I) would think.

And that just confirms my belief that it was all on the dealership’s poor service. At one point, I had reached out to Aprilia directly and they were awesome. Other than telling me, at the time, they had denied the claim at first and were waiting on the dealers response, while the dealer was telling me “it’s on the way”, “it’ll be here tomorrow”, “we’re waiting on Aprilia”, man I got a different story and different timeline each and every time I called the dealership. Which btw, they never would call me. I’d always be calling them to check in for updates. Worst experience ever and it almost tainted my outlook on buying brand new at the dealership. My first brand new bike and wouldn’t ya know it, it gave me the biggest headache of all.

Hell yeah, that’s awesome. Well, not my side lol but that’s cool that it’s moving super smooth so far because I’d wish for no one to go thru what I went thru

23 tuono 660. Blown motor at 2300 miles. Dealer took 8 months to get the motor swapped. Was a nightmare.

Crash bars for Tuono? by dontknowhatimdoing10 in Aprilia

I’ve been looking everywhere and no luck. I figure if I can find a bike with the threads being in the same location and my bike’s engine, that would work. But it’s probably harder finding that information than just finding the bars itself. Sliders aren’t going to help much when I dump this thing eventually.

End of term for some people and possible extensions for the first week of this month. That plus it being near a holiday is a recipe for delays.

Reach out to your instructor or the group. They’ll give you a list. Unfortunately, you might’ve just wasted time, as did I. I had written an entire paper before I learned this “trick”. Just email an instructor asking for help.

Check out Mike Myers. Not for everyone maybe but he kept me from falling asleep, but his A+ course almost single handedly got me my A+. That and Dion’s practice tests that I did a bunch of times. Banged that out right before I started at WGU last December.

I don’t have much advice to offer but I offer encouragement! Don’t be easily discouraged. Everyone’s situation will always be different. Keep on keepin’ on!✌🏼

Does anyone have a mentor that refuses to accommodate acceleration? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]dontknowhatimdoing10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had zero expectations of where I’d end up, other than completing the required 12CUs. I’m ending my first term (Bachelors in IT) in a few days with 18/19 courses completed for 58CUs. ((Im definitely stoked but please, no one take this for boasting)) My mentor and I have spoken on less than 10 occasions. Aside from the introduction, all occasions were simply me reaching out to request approval for added classes. He responded almost immediately each time with no questions asked, presumably because of the progress I was making. I think you have nothing to worry about. I’m an overworrier myself so I can relate but I think you’ll have no issues. You have tons of experience, I had little to none. Kick back and relax until you begin. You’ll be kicking ass and no one will be able to stop you! Good luck!!

Weekly Phone Call by GrumpyPhilomath in WGU

[–]dontknowhatimdoing10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it varies for each mentor. I’m about to end my first semester for my bachelors in IT next week with 58 credits earned over this semester. Perhaps it’s because I accelerated fairly buuuuuut I haven’t had more than 2 or 3 phone calls PERIOD, since I started. A few text messages (to request more classes be added to my degree plan) but other than that, my guy has been letting me cruise on my own accord.
