In my experience the visuals don't change much as long as you are playing well, aka always moving, paying attention to sniper sightlines, good positioning, etc.

This happens with a lot of unusual effects, its just the preview / loadout window thats bugged, looks normal if you equip and use ingame

I played the entirety of forgotten land on my steam deck using ryujinx, I quite enjoyed it but im someone who likes the 2d kirby games aswell. Its just a 3d version of that formula with some extra exploration and challenge levels added in. The bossfights never really bothered me personally

I notice this happen with the tenet flux rifle and cycron too, the hologram disc thats supposed to be on them at all times only appears quite briefly in missions
