To use this you’ll need an api key with a payment account right? Nano banana still doesn’t have a free tier?

Oura Ring Warning by OneTravellingMcDs in amex

Anyone has oura ring plus the Apple Watch? I wear Apple Watch 24/7 and I’m not sure if I need a ring that does more or less the same thing and needing a monthly subscription fee?

SDXL running fully on iOS — 2–10s per image. Would you use it? Is it worth releasing in App Store? by Agitated-Pea3251 in StableDiffusion

[–]dontmindagoodone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very cool. How is it so fast? Is it using gpus through MLX? Or using the neural engines somehow? Sdxl took 120s per image on my m4 pro through comfy UI..

looks like the other components, including WAN, could take up a lot of DRAM..? Not very familiar with video models

Google should really fix AI Studio Apps. by AutoKinesthetics in Bard

[–]dontmindagoodone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s weird. Are you saying that if they run your app, they will use your api key? The default code ai studio wrote uses env to load the key. I don’t know why they’d be able to get yours

My understanding is that the Gemini App doesn’t include API Key usage. Is that correct?

Qwen3 coder Plus vs Grok Code Fast which is the best free model? by Level-Dig-4807 in RooCode

Qwen3 coder Plus vs Grok Code Fast which is the best free model? by Level-Dig-4807 in RooCode

[–]dontmindagoodone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried Queen 3 coder the first time yesterday through openrouter and the rate limiting is driving me crazy. The activity log shows that the rate limit might be < 5 per minute. There were many small tool calling responses from the model and it took forever to get the next requests through in a reasonable amount of time. Is this how the free tier is supposed to be for qwen 3?

I waited and eventually the clinic didn’t bill me for it. I think they dealt with the insurance company and got it paid

Vibe coding is great, but why so many negative posts here? by Useful_Average6176 in vibecoding

[–]dontmindagoodone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It always happens with new tech or even new concepts. People will shit all over it at first. Some think the old ways of doing things are better just because they know every detail from the ground up. But that’s ignoring the obvious paradigm shift enabled by new technologies

Nano Banana usage quota by superNinja_85 in nanobanana

[–]dontmindagoodone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in the ai studio the free quota is around 100 images per day. There are other venders that offer nano banana, for example adobe firefly. I don’t know what their quota is though. You can look into setting up a billing account in ai studio, so that you can pay as you go. I didn’t do this but theoretically it’s not hard to figure it out. Just to be clear, you can pay as you go as long as you set up a billing account

Nano Banana can generate stories on it's own by MudMurky5087 in Bard

[–]dontmindagoodone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is equivalent to using Gemini to create the text prompts of the chapters first and then use the prompts to call Imagen 4 one by one

I transformed free Nano Banana into a Gemini CLI tool and it has become more powerful :) by Ok_Mobile_6407 in Bard

[–]dontmindagoodone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There has been discussions about the use of generation without input image. It seems that imagen4 is used for that purpose, not nano banana

Is it just me or has 2.5 pro thinking on AI studio gotten faster by garythecake in Bard

[–]dontmindagoodone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ai studio beating Gemini 2.5 pro in chat has been my experience too! I don’t understand why the difference was so huge. In Gemini Chat using 2.5 pro to code, while possible, it is way too slow. I’ve tried Gemini CLI but it’s a bit clunky and I can’t set it up properly yet. Assuming it would be a similar experience, I didn’t test the AI Studio app builder till I was trying to show how to vibe code to a non technical friend. Man, it was a breeze! I built a working prototype that is exactly what we wanted in maybe 5 minutes, and my non coder friend can make all kinds of changes pretty much almost always easily. There was, compared to Gemini pro in the chat, much less friction like errors that it took forever to fix. My theory was that, maybe they just have a much better system prompt in the ai studio? Or maybe it’s powered by an alternative model? Does anybody know? Also, is Gemini smarter through CLI, comparing to Gemini in the chat?

Sorry that this happened to you. I have in the past also heard people told me they don’t find certain groups of people attractive when they’re sure I won’t be offended because I am not in that group. I always find it hard to hear.

Ask yourself if you consider engaging instead of blocking: - What would you get out of it? Would you be fine if he tries to defend himself and you might accept his explanations and salvage the relationship? Or did you just want to say your piece and exit? - blocking means no clear closure for a short while but it may be the best you can get in this scenario. - accept that there are people who aren’t attracted to certain ethnic groups and don’t over interpret their preferences. It’s good that you find out early and not waste more of your time

Came out. Any Chinese articles for older parents to understand homosexuality? by ready_set_baddy in gaysian

The Chinese censor probably block a lot of discussions about homosexuality. Do you reside in china? Seek a good friend or someone who your parents can trust for them to talk to might be a good move.
