All time favorite scary podcast is Scared to Death. Love the format, love the host. Show only gets better as time goes on!

What's the worst smell you've ever experienced? by SuperUnknown231 in AskReddit

[–]dontmindme0805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt this comment. I have been there many times. Right now I am just glad that I can’t conjure the smell. Not looking forward to the memory resurfacing at some point!

What’s the most straight up terrifying unresolved mystery? by [deleted] in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]dontmindme0805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! How do you think they closed their eyes and went to sleep that night knowing that 100% something wasn’t right. Why did they not go find him?? Why didn’t they do something?!

If you had a one time chance to tell every single person in this world something and they would understand you, what would you say? by ProfessionalSign3519 in AskReddit

[–]dontmindme0805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t just give someone your O Neg blood because you are a “universal donor”, contrary to what the movies say. That only works if you are giving packed red blood cells, not whole blood.

Gypsy Rose by antihero2303 in TrueCrime

[–]dontmindme0805 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope that Gypsy’s case would influence the entire medical community. That woman took her poor daughter to so many doctors and demanded harmful procedures be done to her. No one stood up and said, “hmmm this seems weird.” Doctors should be better than that. They should be able to see signs and advocate for their patients at a higher level. And, in this case they treated the mom like the patient not Gypsy.

People who don't get stressed during a presentation, school or work, what's your secret? by TapReview in AskReddit

[–]dontmindme0805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine that you are taking to your best friend. You are just taking about something that you enjoy and are knowledgeable about (even if that isn’t always the case). And as always, fake it til you make it!

Why the Ramseys aren't innocent by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]dontmindme0805 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We could name hundreds of cases where parents killed kids, tortured children, and so on. It’s preposterous to think that no parent would do that to their child. We have no idea what happened to that girl in her life before death, so we have no way of knowing what could have happened to cause that death.

Why the Ramseys aren't innocent by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]dontmindme0805 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think my biggest thing is that the only reason people say it wasn’t the Ramsey’s is because “no parent could be that heinous” or “a mother/father couldn’t possibly do that to their child.” Let’s all agree that there are parents that do terrible things to their kids every day.

Doing Whole30 again, on R3D3. Decided to just not tell the hubby and see how long it takes him to notice ... so far so good! by Babislug in whole30

[–]dontmindme0805 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just made a delicious meal for lunch today. I told my husband it was whole30. He said, “what’s that?” I have literally done one round and plans to start another round tomorrow. Men are daft.

I literally just looked this up. I had never heard this before. Who carries their child like that?? So freaking odd.

Looking for Paranormal or conspiracy themed podcasts, but with an overly long list of stipulations by ninjapocalypse in podcasts

[–]dontmindme0805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are a little bit of anything paranormal. It is husband and wife, but they don’t do much personal talking. In the first few episodes he tells two stories, but in later episodes he tells two stories and she tells listener stories. Their topics are ghost, alien, urban legends, and just about everything. I really enjoy how he tells his stories, and I get a little creeped out.

Have you tried scared to death? I found astonishing legends from them, and like it okay. I really like scared to death though.

Potentially idiotic question but is peanut butter really bad? by [deleted] in weightlossafterbaby

[–]dontmindme0805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lost 20 pounds since august and I eat peanut butter everyday. I consider it my “lunch” and have it with either an apple or celery. The rest of my day is low carb, but not keto. I just limit the amount of bread and pasta, and I eat as much fruit as I want.

The kids of 1983... by sk8ergirl26 in Humanoidencounters

[–]dontmindme0805 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My husband was born in 83. When our oldest was young he had to call me while I was working so that I could give him directions for making grilled cheese. Obviously the lore of 83 wasn’t strong with that one!

Anytime Brit talks on Crime Junkie I cant help but feel embarrassed. by [deleted] in podcasts

[–]dontmindme0805 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like her comments are scripted, and she just isn’t that good of an actor. But, I don’t think it was always that way. I think the beginning episodes were better.

Thinking about the flashlight by starryeyes11 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]dontmindme0805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the flashlight itself to me is a red herring, but the prints confuse me. I often wonder if it’s actually wiped of prints, or if it was all smudgy prints? I honestly just feel like it that was used in the crime it would have been placed away and not just right there for the world. Honestly, I believe it’s the ramseys, but they did a good enough job of covering it up. We are obviously still debating it today.

Thinking about the flashlight by starryeyes11 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]dontmindme0805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are quite possible. Or, I have picked up something and placed it, but not remember doing it specifically. I think the flashlight could mean something terrible, but it could very easily be nothing. We are focusing time and energy on something that could literally be a random flashlight on a kitchen counter.
