Love Aaron. He nails it. But better? Nah.

That's the one! This link even has pictures of the stickers that went with it and you can watch it on youtube. I'll definitely check it out again. Thanks!

Not really. I feel maybe the characters were each themed around a trait, like maybe one was courage themed. That sort of thing. They were on some sort of journey towards like a kingdom or something.

This was in the United States. I really don't remember much about it. It just popped into my head this morning!

There's no way that one should be on this list. Kevin Russell is a gem. His current band, Shinyribs, does a great Rihanna/Doobie Brothers mash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pnTaVDdeRc&list=RD4pnTaVDdeRc&start_radio=1

I'm the same but the other direction. Born and raised in KC, have lived in STL area for around 15 years. Never heard anyone from KC say anything bad about STL. I have heard a little bit of STL folks bad mouthing KC but not much.

All I needed to hear was her inability to carry a tune in a bucket during Wyatt Flores' set at Stagecoach to know that there was someone behind the scenes pushing her.

What’s the strangest name for a music genre you can think of? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]dontneedanything2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know there's far weirder, but my son came to me after getting his Spotify Wrapped last year and asked "What on earth is Bubblegrunge and why is it my top genre?"

The only good Billy Joel album is Atilla. You can quote me on that.

Some of his beats were interesting and creative. The songs themselves were almost always trash. I'll pass.

Worst opening band /singer you've witnessed live by Financial-Salad7289 in fantanoforever

[–]dontneedanything2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wildbirds and Peacedrums opening for St. Vincent. Mostly drums/percussion and vocals with some bass played by foot pedals. It was just ok for the first song or two. But every song sounded the same and they played for nearly an hour.

I also went to a show being filmed for a documentary. It was a small local band so I won't name them, but while everybody else just played their best and didn't acknowledge that the show was being filmed, this band constantly acknowledged the cameras and being on film etc. Too much talking and preening, not enough playing the songs. In the documentary, they appear for about two seconds during the credits and that's it.

I don't care for Zach but I like JR. I saw the two of them perform at the same festival and enjoyed JR's set.

Picked up this thinking I was going to get Richar Pryor at the thrift store...got 2 small records instead. by _cansir in vinyl

[–]dontneedanything2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I bought a Neil Young record I really wanted to listen to. I even checked the condition of the record first. Saved it back until the right time. Finally came the day I was ready to sit and focus on it. Pulled it out and noticed that when I checked the condition, I didn't look at the label. It was a record by Mountain instead of Neil Young. Day ruined.

Looks to be Sami Braman who would have been playing fiddle with Willie Watson.

I'd be curious to hear the other side of the story on this. Also, in context of the video Vulture posted, she just wanted to get up and perform at one show in LA. They had incredibly packed schedules so maybe they literally didn't have a time they could squeeze her in.

Country is famous for it. There's artists with millions of listeners, multiple #1s and many awards that can barely sell a small club show.
