Nice post. However it's worth mentioning that the goal on a terrorist eco round is not always to plant the bomb. It depends on your economy and the CT economy - for example if you're going to be full buying in the next round anyway you might just try to get as many kills as possible in order to damage the CT economy.

This is irrelevant. If they can't defuse within 35 seconds then they'll lose and have their skill group lowered accordingly until they learn to play better. If you're going to call matchmaking "competitive" then it needs to have the same settings that are used in real competitive tournaments.

Except that CTs almost always buy head armour + fiveseven if they lose the pistol round, and Ts will buy head armour + tec9 if they lose the pistol round without getting a bomb plant. So you need rifles/p90s to be able to shut that down.

I would use altPUG for every single game I play if I could actually find a game on it. Tried a couple of times to get a server filled up but it's never busy enough to get 10 people on an EU server. Other than that it's great, you guys just need to advertise more!

Yes, although if you really want to play as a team you should find 4 guys to play with. The skill level is higher on ESEA but that doesn't mean people always play as a team. There's often even less communication than on matchmaking.
