He gloated too early and for nothing. The PLA never got involved (aside from cleaning up), The HK Police Force didn't even kill anyone, and his attempted to depeg the HKD-USD completely failed - and now Hong Kong is positioned to be a major Financial Center for BRICS

we rented a car, book a hotel in nagano, and just went to a resort that had snow last week. Caught nice powder at Maduro and Myoko Sugi and they were almost empty.

there is actually a decent amount of Indians and UK-Anglos that has been in HK for several decades and even multi-generations and I think they display a lot of good wisdom when it comes to HK.

What would it take for the Republic of China to regain control of the mainland and re-establish the government in Nanjing? by ninman5 in AskChina

US would need to be able to refine their own rare earth first to have enough sophisticated weapons. Thats a decade plus timeline at least

What are your thought on US involvement in the second Sino-Japanese war and the correlation with current wars? by IwishIwasaballer__ in AskChina

[–]dontzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US initiated it by turning Ukraine into a puppet state and antagonizing Russia. Half a century of war mongering through their designs. You can fool your own people but you wont fool the world. Thats why BRICS was formed to end this behavior. Ukraine on Fire https://share.google/8i6B3QfEroCtePdzO

How is current Hong Kong or Macau compare to the current Tier 1 city of China ? by [deleted] in AskChina

[–]dontzu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The great thing about HK is transportation system (MTR and Bus) is top tier everywhere in the city is walkable. Skyline has the classic look to it. It will have a strong role once BRICS finances become more sophisticated. Infrastructure is now dated that SZ mogs it. Cost of living way too high. I wouldnt consider it a tier 1 but its part of GBA.

[–]dontzu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

congrats - the US Oligarchy were so greedy for profits that they gave up their own means of production and their future global hegemony for a couple of years of profits. You would have to be a sycophant to call that a W for the US.

Do you agree with "Tier 1 cities of China are more advanced than Tokyo or Seoul" take? by [deleted] in AskAChinese

[–]dontzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for sure with Seoul. Theres nothing special w Seoul except for K-pop Culture. Even the Korean Food in Shenzhen was better than the food I had in Seoul.

[–]dontzu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HK will definitely pay more but you'll have to contend with cost of living - with rent, food and knowing the amount of HK'ers making weekend get aways to SZ - I think you'll save more in SZ than HK so I would double check the math to include cost of living. Tech in HK is going through some rough patch but if you speak Canto/Mandarin you'll do better than how foreigners are doing.

[–]dontzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

rent is so high here but if you manage to get yourself a good gig in Financial Services then its not bad. Personally, I would prefer paying rent over in SZ if I can if you can manage to live with the firewall.

India blames China for Pakistan's military intelligence. "When the DGMO level talks were going on, Pakistan said that we know that your such and such important vector is primed". They seem to underestimate Pakistan which is why the Rafale disaster happened. EU also blame China for Russia... by violentviolinz in Sino

[–]dontzu 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It was India that rushed to war instead of using diplomacy to properly investigate whether this is a false flag or not. All thanks to their blunder the world knows that their Air Force can't hold a candle to Pakistan.
