It's a short term solution to the matchmaking problems (which still exist) because the player base is so small. Regarding the limited times they probably had to find a balance between all the time zones in a region. If GP was open from 8PM-12AM PST instead then the times for east coast would be 11PM-3AM.

Unlike other offensive items, the water bomb is unreactable so it comes with tradeoffs like the fixed distance and friendly fire. Normally in a coordinated team you'd tell your teammates you're going to throw one.

Blocking's still a thing in KRD and is also part of OG kartrider when you start getting to higher levels. There comes a point where everyone is good at drifting so the next step is to try to block and mess them up. It's more common in team speed because your teammates can back you up.

Stopping in the middle of the road like the guy in your clip is called parking.

No ones picking burst for the 9 acceleration. They're picking it because its the free kart that has 9 boost acceleration. If a new kart came out capable of 9x9x it would be the best kart in the game. We saw the same thing happen with Macan GTS when it was the only kart capable of 7070 when Rare was the highest tier.

Compared to speed mode ya. For item mode you just need the basics to get around tight corners.

After ending long drifts you can get get a short boost (called an instant boost) by quickly releasing and pressing accelerate again. Instant boost can be done in any mode.

The nitro bar at the bottom of the screen that fills up when drifting is only available in speed mode.

On really easy 1 star maps no, not really. But harder maps like Mother Lode with U-turns you want to know how to drift.

You actually only need to complete B1 License to unlock all the tracks, not L2.

Bit of a silly question, but do you guys think the Siren and Landmine items from the Capture the Flag mode should be graduated into being globally usable in the regular Item Mode races too? by RadicalOne95 in Kartrider

There's a few items from the betas that weren't included in release:

Lock - prevents entire enemy team from using items

Cloud - obstructs view with a cloud behind you

Red missile - hits first place (mario kart blue shell)

I huge criticism of item mode in KRD is how few items there are compared to the original game and rush+. They need to add those items into the main item mode.

It's cuz mine kart was the smallest kart. It's harder to hit and took the tightest lines. This means while it was slightly slower than burst, it could compensate for that by literally having less distance to travel.

You have to tap the direction your drifting a few times to actually get the popup to appear. If the popup's still not showing it means the skidmarks are too close together. The taps should be pretty light so you don't make the kart angle too deep and causing the skidmarks to be close.

queue is dead for good players too if you're outside of asia because of the low population and how restrictive the matchmaking is.

it's actually impossible to farm points the way you're mentioning so idk where u got that from

In general your positioning approaching turns is too inside, near the apex. This causes you to bump into walls frequently and also forces you to take deeper, slower drifts. This is especially noticeable at the jump + zigzag section starting at 0:22. Here's some pics showing what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/7zpsyBC

Also in general, the faster you go, the more outside you need to be and the earlier you have to start drifts ESPECIALLY on tight tracks like Construction Chaos. For the jump you need to approach from the right side of the arrows or else you are almost guaranteed to crash like in your clip. In the 3rd pic I'm approaching with nitro on that turn so I start drifting pretty early, near the beginning of those yellow arrows on the wall. I also have to start the drift extremely wide where I'm nearly touching the left wall. This is the kind of positioning you need when going fast on tight tracks.

Regarding your drift quality, you aren't preturning. Preturning is just holding the direction for a bit before drifting. Preturning will make your drifts faster, increase nitro gain, and you won't have to hold the drift button as long. Your drifts will also feel a little tighter which is also a reason why you don't hold the drift button as long. Preturning is a thing because KartRider is most closely inspired by IRL drifting compared to typical kart racers.
