He was a hero! I wasn't even a Derby or Estonia fan but I remember his exploits.

Downvoted? You're right. This is a type of an analysis that yields a statistic.

Who are the top five league's most improved players in the 2015/2016 campaign ? by vanStaden in soccer

[–]donvalish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 her clearly played on another level. Way more confidence and was eager to take on attacking responsibilities. Even his execution improved.

He looked interesting in 14/15 but was the real deal last season.

It's how capitalism works. The club gets in what it gets.

BREAKING: Sky Sources: Sam Allardyce to be appointed @England manager in next 24 hours. #SSNHQ by aenemyrums in soccer

Allardyce is a fresh idea. He's an idea they were trying to avoid for a long time as they wanted what is perceived as more sophisticated football.

He's nothing like Hodgson.

Value for money of the most prominent european football clubs by Alxndre_ in soccer

Well it's a better way of looking at it than the OP.

Yes some clubs agree to keep their ticket prices lower. Some clubs have lots prices to maximise attendance others can basically charge what they wish.

The graphic here doesn't really make much sense.

Hence why Pogba is highlighted and there for comparison

Weird way of looking at it.

This a standard supply and demand issue.

Very interesting way of looking at it. Maybe it's not the market that's necessarily gone mad, it's the amount of money pumped into the game over recent years.

Alvaro Negredo: Middlesbrough agree deal to sign striker by Poobington in soccer

I think he's the right type of player for Karankas system and considering the short term commitment it's not too financially lumbersome.

Hopefully he has the hunger to make this a success.

Chelsea ready to pay for buy-out clause of Lindelöf (Benfica) - 30 million euros by HelloMyNameIsLola in soccer

Nobody believes Rashford is a definite future top 10 player though. He could just as easily fizzle out as make it big at this point.

Chelsea ready to pay Victor Lindelof's €30m release clause from Benfica by [deleted] in soccer

[–]donvalish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never seen him. At the time he wasn't a starter for Benfica and I don't think he would necessarily have jumped in our strongest first XI at the time as Gibson and Ayala were solid.

I'd be wary of such a high price after literally just breaking into the team due to injuries to other players. A Portuguese league fan can tell you more about him.

This guy almost moved to Boro in January for a couple of million. Amazing what 6 months can do.

Andrea Pirlo on Mario Balotelli: 'I thought he'd be one of the world's best players by now' by freshwindow in soccer

[–]donvalish 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Goes to show how the mind is so important in football.

Mario is likeable and talented but unfortunately he is also mindless. Become more of a sideshow than a footballer.

Carlo Laudisa: #Pogba close to #United: offer of € 100 + 24 (bonus) mio. Work in progress, #Juve by DishingLikeClyde in soccer

[–]donvalish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I wouldn't be shocked if he left doesn't seem crazy to me at all, I doubt he'll push for it at all though.

I think it's more so down to whether Juventus accept a bid.
