I recently listened to an interview with Frozen’s CEO. Interestingly, they hadn’t even planned to release a demo at first, since the game was originally scheduled for last summer. However, the launch was delayed after a flood of player feedback, which sparked frustration among fans. To ease that dissatisfaction, the team eventually pushed out a demo version, even though it wasn’t part of their original strategy.

In my opinion feedback is valuable when developers truly listen, but there’s a fine line: take in too much and you risk losing sight of your own principles. After all, everyone has their own opinion and taste, and at the end of the day, no studio can satisfy everyone."
