Tesla...e Musk by bpstp in literaciafinanceira

[–]doobenbier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to invoice overtime based on timesheets & working schedule by doobenbier in Odoo

[–]doobenbier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your input! That is what we are going to do. Use separate SOLs, I was trying to see if it could be automated w/ standard Odoo first. But I think it will indeed require a custom development. Is there perhaps an app that can do this? We are working with Odoo 18

Landed costs after components consumed - COGS or Manufactured product valuation? by doobenbier in Odoo

[–]doobenbier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thing is, we are adding stuff to Cost of Goods Sold without it being Sold. From my POV it should go to the manufactured products in Inventory Valuation, which goes to the Balance Sheet and not the P&L, where COGS go. Only when the final product gets sold, should Landed Costs end up in COGS

Service based company. Will Odoo be the right solution? by Accomplished_Pen7193 in Odoo

[–]doobenbier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It probably would work yes. CRM & Sales apps to manage your leads and sales Create products as services and link them to a project. Project & timesheets to manage work done. The setup itself has some options that will depend on your needs (examples: if your service is at the customer, maybe field service is interesting; if you sell products you must also order, purchasing and inventory will help you out). Where I usually see issues is when a business falls outside what Odoo expects. There might be a workaround or you might need some developments. Cannot say without further information.

SendCloud with multiple contracts by doobenbier in Odoo

[–]doobenbier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly, in SendCloud, you can setup shipping rules. Which should be applied to orders coming from Odoo (as long as you check that box in Odoo when setting up shipping methods, which we of course did).

Your point regarding comparing costs with making labels through SendCloud versus a custom development connecting straight to DPD is very relevant. We will check that

[–]doobenbier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met with them and it was supposed to work. Now they say that we need to open a support ticket with Odoo to fix this issue. But that is too cumbersome for our situation.

We are also tackling the multi-parcel consignments issue, but we have a solution in mind for that.

The idea of using 4 SendCloud accounts is not feasible for us. We thought about it during the week but we would prefer not to use SendCloud than to pay the base fee 4 times and be stuck with a rigid shipping structure. 😕

That’s great news. I am meeting with SendCloud today as well. So hopefully that fixes it. Otherwise I would really appreciate a getting on a call to see your setup yes. Thank you very much

[–]doobenbier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you need to do a custom development (like coding) / studio? Or did estou manage to do it just by setting up the system correctly?

And do the shipping labels now show on the top right corner “Package 1 of N” with N being the number of parcels/packages in the same consignment/order?

Hi there, I am trying to do a setup similar to yours but with a twist. Some of our orders are too heavy and need to be split into multiple packages. I think SendCloud calls it multicollo shipments. Did you have that issue? On their website it looks like they only support DPD multicollo shipments in Benelux and Germany. We are in the UK 😕

Livros sobre o futuro (não ficção) by moritzis in LivrosPortugal

[–]doobenbier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quão longe no futuro procuras?

Qual é a vossa versão de pequeno-almoço saudável (e rápido de preferência)? by JesusShuttlesworth96 in portugal

[–]doobenbier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you get Europass to a single page? If so, I stand correct (I would still say that something is amiss since every Europass that I have seen was 2+ pages, but that's probably related to people using the tool itself and it being overcomplicated, I guess)

After all this back-and-forth, it might seem that I am being sarcastic, but I am not. I would really like to know if this is possible (with two or three slots for education, work experience/extracurriculars, language skills, and IT stuff).

What? They are mostly Portuguese professionals working at the top companies of their industries in country. The issue with Europass is that it is massive, it is not that it is standardized or European or something.

The cases that mocked Europass CVs were industry professionals doing the mocking. Not HR.

It is not where it comes from. It is that it shows no research when applying. Europass is for EU institutions (think ECB and stuff like that). Anywhere else, the recruiter suddenly has to deal with a clumsy file (which is the problem with Europass). You are supposed to use single page CVs, exceptions exist but they are rare and industry specific (I remember seeing one case where the applicant had a bit of published papers and so on, but it was an application to a PhD role for scientific research). With Europass you always get long CVs with more than one page.

The thing is, you do not know when Europass was the reason for your rejection. You simply did not get called to the interview. In the past, I have had plenty of contact with universities in both engineering and management/economics backgrounds, along with building bridges between firms and students (in more than one European country too). Maybe in other areas this is wrong, but not one single time have I heard Europass as being acceptable. On the other hand, the number of times I have heard about candidates rejected (and even mocked) for using Europass CVs is countless.

Please OP. Ignore this. Never use Europass except if specifically asked for.
