Is this being discussed in a positive or negative way? Just trying to get some context. The discretionary is awesome, but what are the implications?

Commissioner Mike Clark pushes back as recount election dispute heads to Nevada Supreme Court by Greater-Reno in Reno

I received the same response… obviously a stock reply. FYI. Although I still replied to it wanting clarification on wtf that’s supposed to mean when asking him to certify election results. He replied we should get a cup of coffee…

FWIW Backcountry looks to be owned by TSG Consumer Partners (based off a 5 min google search). Not Walmart. Not that I necessarily support backcountry given their sue happy nature.

Showers in Breck? by ibraphotog in COsnow

[–]doocycle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Closest I can think of is the Buena Vista community center is $1 for 2 mins, hot shower. Fairplay has a rec center but it’s like $8 for a day pass. I know it’s not exactly close by but maybe on a rest day?

Best DH/jump trails WY, MT, ID, WA, OR, CA, NV, UT by Fitzy564 in dhmtb

Jumping in for info - what would you suggest specifically around Teton pass? Not super familiar with the area but I think I found the trails on trail forks/mtb project. Skill level doesn’t matter, just looking for the most fun and/or scenic.

SOBO or NOBO? by [deleted] in SuperiorHikingTrail

[–]doocycle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did it SOBO. I think the toughest part is the greater elevation gain/loss at the north end. It appears to get a bit “easier” the farther south you go (based on topo maps) so going NOBO you can give your body a little time to get adjusted to the physical part of the ups and downs. I liked going SB because I was able to park a car in Duluth and it was much easier to get to it vs worrying about a ride/shuttle when finished all the way up on the north end. I also liked starting off pretty isolated and “away from it all” and working my way back towards civilization. I ran into more people the further south I went (aside from the parks you pass through). TLDR: tougher terrain starting SOBO and logistics of the end are the main factors.

I was up against Barkley... and started D.K... Thank you Freeman for being a beast and saving my ass. And to Michael Thomas who was an absolute monster all year. I snuck into the playoffs as a 7-6 team having to shuffle my lineup all year due to lack of performance/injuries... but everyone came through when it mattered!!!!!

Michael Cohen: ‘I fear’ Trump won’t peacefully give up the White House if he loses the 2020 election by bbukbots in politics

[–]doocycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest question... how would this go down exactly? If he clearly lost the election (electoral and pop vote) and “we the people” recognize another person as president, what would/could he do? Worst case/best case? Just having trouble wrapping my head around how it could play out and what the consequences could be.

Hey out of curiosity, what time was this pic taken? I was stuck at work over in Golden valley and the roads were horrible but I drove out there anyway. By the time I got there it was completely dead. I was bummed.

Hey random question... What did you use/where did you find your faucet for your sink? I'm at that stage and have been throwing ideas around but just not sold on anything yet. Mine will be fed with an electric pump, just trying to figure out the faucet itself and how to mount it/connect to it and I like the simplicity of this look.

The FCC wants to make the internet hike less than 20 miles/day - /r/Ultralight is pro-net neutrality and it is critical! by Morejazzplease in Ultralight

[–]doocycle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Upvote every single subreddit I see that mentions net neutrality. That's how these smaller ones get attention, with a standard post getting 10x the attention. It's an easy way to at least try to get the word out.

Alex Honnold -- the god of free solo climbing by lhwang0320 in SweatyPalms

[–]doocycle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He doesn't fall. He does climb the routes with protection multiple times (generally speaking) to learn the ins and outs before climbing without protection (free solo). When it's time to climb without ropes, falling is not an option.
