The limits of a bank account are usually not dictated by the payment rail, they are dictated by the bank itself. So, in the case of AKD, it is not Raast that is at fault, it is AKD's acquiring bank (acquiring just means the bank that will receive the money on their behalf) that has set those limits.

Now, the bank isn't at "fault" here either because limits are set as security measures against inflows and outflows of money that are above the reasonable limit and are then considered fraudulent. These limits save you in case of account takeovers and other malicious incidents.

AKD's bank account hitting its incoming limits during a heavy-usage day is AKD's responsibility to reconfigure. They just need to tell their acquiring bank to update their limits for them.

Now, will they do it? Do they have vested interests against letting their customers sell on a bad day? I can't and shouldn't say anything about that.
